Form of workAs a Senior Software (ABAP) Developer, you would be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex SAP applications using ABAP programming language. You would work closely with functional analysts and end-users to understand business requirements and develop high-quality technical solutions.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Develop, configure, implement and support SAP's solutions.
•Debug and implement enhancements in existing applications.
•Good understanding of SAP NetWeaver platform and related technologies, such as Web Services, BAPIs, EDI / IDocs, and RFCs. Perform performance tuning to improve performance over multiple functions.
•Participate as a high-level technical expert in design, development, coding, documenting, testing and debugging existing or new applications.
•Create prototypes and mock-ups.
•Engage other technical team members in the design, delivery, and deployment of solutions.
•Resolve customer issues.
•Participate in estimation and project planning.
•Report assigned tasks periodically to supervisor.
•Periodic project management meetings.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
•Accomplished incumbent typically possessing a minimum of 10 - 12 years applicable experience, established position specific skills, and working knowledge of other inter-departmental functions.
•Experience in a lead role for implementations and support projects.
•Minimum of 10 years of SAP development experience in SAP ECC/S/4HANA, BODS, SAP XI/PI/PO/CPI/ and FIORI/ODATA/CDS.
•Educational attainment equivalent to a bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems or a related field
•Familiarity with Module pool, UI5/Fiori, Smart Forms, BADI's, BAPI's & User Exits
•Knowledge of EDI & Business Intelligence tools are a plus
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
•Considerable knowledge and understanding of SAP development technologies such as ABAP & SQL and front-end technologies like HTML5 & JavaScript
•Strong object orientation experience
•SAP Fiori development experience is required.
•Extensive knowledge of SAP modules, such as FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, PM, and HR, and experience in developing custom solutions for these modules.
•Gateway development
•Strong communication skills
•Considerable knowledge of business and manufacturing applications and system requirements
•Knowledge of systems analysis and design
•Strong analytical skills and ability to write technical specifications.
•Ability to lead and facilitate technical discussions.
•Ability to evaluate project requests, provide solutions with time estimates, and follow through and complete projects accurately and on a timely basis.
•Ability to work independently and as a team member in completing assignments.
•SAP Certifications is a big plus
•CPI-DS, RTI, JITTERBIT development, integration and monitoring knowledge will have added advantage.
•Nice to have worked on migrating from ECC to S4HANA.
