We are looking to hire a talented, hands-on senior full stack developer who is interested in working at Green Street. You will be a senior member of an Agile team dedicated to building best-in-class tools, utilities, and processes that support the research, news, and data collection processes that feed Green Street's cutting-edge product offerings. Additionally, you'll be a key player in Green Street's continuing integration of event streaming technologies.

Responsibilities

• Leverage your experience to provide senior-level engineering expertise the team that delivers on multiple complex software engineering projects from design to release and support in an agile delivery framework;
• Collaborate with the broader technology team and business stakeholders to support and build new modules/applications for Green Street's suite of internal tools and processes;
• Collaborate with Technical Project Managers to produce user stories, work plans, delivery estimates as well as manage risks, and prioritize issues;
• Help design and build full stack solutions (from backend, middle-tier, and front-end) for platform functionality, and work with the DevOps team to adhere to DevOps best practices, including Infrastructure as Code;
• Participate in full stack code and architecture reviews, ensuring software and systems meets requirements of quality, security, extensibility, accuracy, and completeness;
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and post implementation reviews;
• Assist in release management for the Green Street's proprietary and leading edge tools;
• Work with technology partners (onshore and offshore) to augment the technology team and ensure success of product delivery and support;
• Provide technical guidance to junior developers through paired programming, documentation, and code reviews.

Requirements

• Authorization to work in the United States now and in the future, without visa or sponsorship requirements;
• 5-10 years of professional full-stack experience in a team environment using JavaScript, Python, SQL, C#, HTML, CSS and/or SASS, designing applications using responsive layout pattern that are cross-browser compatible;
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience through coding bootcamp;
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies such as Scrum;
• Experience developing, deploying, and supporting enterprise grade full stack web applications in production environments;
• Experience developing using modern SPA JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Vue, React);
• Experience in both architecture design and code level implementation;
• Enjoy problem solving, have excellent communication skills, and demonstrate impeccable attention to detail;
• "Ownership attitude" and a willingness to ensure reliability and performance of applications in an ongoing manner;
• Possess excellent personal organization skills and the ability to prioritize and carry out multiple tasks;
• Willingness and desire to remain technically capable and keep up with new web technologies, languages, standards, practices;
• Proficiency with Git, and continuous integration/deployment;
• Proficiency with REST API development (FastAPI, Flask, Swagger);
• Familiarity with Docker and deploying containerized Docker applications.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with event streaming and event-driven systems (Apache Kafka, Kafka Connect, KSQL-DB);
• Advanced database skills (query performance and optimization, data architecture);
• Experience with Micro Front End architecture;
• Experience with state management (e.g. Vuex, Pinia, Redux);
• AWS and DevOps experience;
• Terraform and Infrastructure as Code;
• API Gateway experience.

Working Conditions: The Senior Software Developer will work indoors in an air-conditioned office building and must be able to remain stationary at a desk and computer for a majority of the day.

Salary Description
$130,000 - $140,000 + incentive bonus
