We are looking for a dynamic Sr. Software Architect to join our team based in West Palm Beach, FL or work Remote.
As part of the Architecture & Innovation team, this role requires a very strong aptitude in full-stack software engineering with Linux, Apache, PHP, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, XML, XSLT, JSON, third-party APIs, libraries, frameworks, and databases such as Angular, Laravel, React, jQuery, REST, MongoDB, and MySQL for the AWS cloud. Required tasks for the role include ownership of overall application architecture, prototyping new concepts, re-architecting core functionality to address tech debt, work on integration of data with partners, and support the development of secure, efficient, performant, scalable, and high quality code.
What you will be doing
- Lead end-to-end technology initiatives to improve product availability, scalability, performance, resilience, and reliability
- Maintain application architecture's health and uphold industry standards and best practices
- Coordinate technology and tech-debt roadmaps aligned with the product roadmap
- Provide enterprise architecture vision to meet functional and non-functional requirements
- Enhance branching, merging, and CI/CD practices for continuous deployment
- Define integration standards for partners at the application and data levels
- Prototype new product ideas, integrating AI/ML technology
- Guide migration from monolithic to microservices and containerized architecture
- Collaborate with business and engineering teams to strategize application development
- Ensure security compliance and mentor technical staff in development, CI/CD, DevOps, and best practices
What you will need to be successful
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, Master’s degree with AI preferred
- 10+ years’ experience in enterprise SaaS application development with architecture responsibility in the AWS cloud
- 10+ years’ experience with Linux, Apache, PHP, JavaScript, Python, GO, CSS, HTML, XML, XSLT, JSON, Angular, Laravel, React, jQuery, Vue.js, NodeJS, and RESTful web services
- 10+ years’ experience with MySQL and MongoDB technology
- 8+ years’ working with AWS (certifications preferred)
- 4+ years’ working leading edge AI/ML technologies, experience with Generative AI preferred
- Experience with SAST, DAST, OWASP, and other industry standards and best practices for developing secure applications
- Strong problem-solving and technical communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently or as part of a team
