Purpose: To define and implement the site merchandising strategy for products, promotions and seasonal collections across Eddie Bauer US and CA websites to drive sales and optimize the customer experience. Drive online sales and conversion by creating site experiences based on data, product priorities, merchandising expertise via a robust digital merchandising toolset. This role partners closely with digital channel and brand marketing, merchandising, inventory planning, site ops/technical teams, and 3rd party digital vendors to support the business. Job Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day digital merchandising of the Eddie Bauer websites across homepages, content pages, and category pages. Manage regular site updates based on marketing campaigns, promotional calendar, and seasonal product priorities.
  • Create and maintain site content strategies in partnership with the merchandising and marketing teams - includes brand and product storytelling, site content, product features, email content and marketing campaigns.
  • Optimize site and email content workflow process in partnership with creative marketing team and email team. Work closely with email team to align on product features and site landing experience from emails.
  • Act as project lead to improve processes, implement new merchandising tools, best practices and positive changes across websites. Be the subject matter expert on all website technologies and tools. Work with 3rd party digital vendors to drive improvements and implement new features.
  • Drive improvements throughout site experience via participation in A/B testing programs, working closely with 3rd party digital vendors, and knowledge of best practice trends. Stay informed of current ecommerce trends and competitor actions, make recommendations for Eddie Bauer based on this.
  • Understand and manage onsite search functionality including navigation, product naming and product content best practices as it relates to SEO.
  • Maintain and analyze current selling trends and customer site interaction with categories. Prepare weekly reports to share with leadership and merchandising partners.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional partners to drive strategic and tactical solutions to meet business needs and ensure merchandising alignment. Assess and determine course of action for inventory liabilities and risks.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to launch new products.
  • Coordinate with digital marketing channels to communicate product priorities and garner support for owned categories.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in E-Commerce Merchandising.
  • Experience working with Bloomreach CMS a plus.
  • Direct experience with site merchandising ecommerce tools (i.e. Adobe Analytics, PIM, merchandising toolsets).
  • Understanding of SEO best practices, on and offsite product search and product data feeds required.
  • A strong understanding of retail math, website merchandising KPIs, and ecommerce analytics.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a project from ideation through completion.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and maintain attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex information and lead change management process with cross-functional team members.
  • Intermediate skill with Microsoft Suite, Excel and SharePoint.
  • Strong business communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to thoroughly analyze designated KPIs and recommend actions.
  • Adhere to regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration. Job duties may be performed effectively using the hybrid work program designated by the company.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor as the company retains the right to change duties to this position.
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular and timely attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards and Company’s policy.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to constantly operate a computer, other office equipment and look at a monitor for up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to clearly and accurately communicate and exchange information verbally, in writing, or through other means in person, telephonically, or through virtual communication methods
  • Ability to position self to reach at or below shoulder level
Requirements & EEO StatementThe salary range for this position is $ 67,724 to $76,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to position offered and work experience. In addition to your salary, SPARC Group, and its affiliated brands, offers a benefits package, including 401(k) plan with company match after 500 hours if age 21 or older, overtime pay, flexible work schedule, paid sick leave, and a generous employee discount program (all benefits are based on eligibility).
