About the OpportunityDMI, LLC is seeking a ServiceNOW Developerto join our team. The ServiceNow Developer is responsible for responsible for designing, developing, and implementing ServiceNow solutions as defined by the requirements documented.
Your primary focus will be on creating and customizing applications within the ServiceNow platform to automate and optimize IT service management processes. You will collaborate with various IT teams including CASD (CA Service Desk), Infrastructure, DevOps, Business Support, Business Enablement (Dev) and other cross-functional teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and customize ServiceNow applications, modules, and workflows based on documented requirements.
- Collaborate with process owners and SMEs to understand their business process, key performance indicators (KPIs), service level agreements (SLAs) and how that process might best be implemented.
- Configure and integrate ServiceNow with other third-party systems, databases, and applications as necessary. Work closely with other teams in the organization for integration needs, provide guidance and best practices.
- Create technical design and architecture diagrams to communicate the implementation and maintain them for future reference.
- Develop and maintain ServiceNow scripts, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, and other customizations.
- Assist the testing team in identifying test cases and scenarios and working very closely to ensure that quality product is delivered.
- Implement ServiceNow best practices and adhere to established development standards and guidelines.
- Perform unit testing, system testing, and assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the quality and functionality of developed solutions.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance of existing ServiceNow applications and integrations.
- Stay updated with the latest ServiceNow features, enhancements, and industry trends, and proactively identify opportunities to leverage new functionalities for improved service delivery.
- Document technical specifications, system configurations, and processes to ensure accurate knowledge transfer and maintain project documentation.
- Ensure that all the security policies, SLDC process and procedures that are laid out by the organization are followed and keep updated with the changes.
Education and Years of Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field + 5 years of experience in IT; Equivalent combinations of training and demonstrated relevant experience will be considered.
Required and Desired Skills/Certifications:
- ServiceNow certifications are required.
- At least one of: Certified Application Developer (CAD), Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS), or Certified System Administrator (CSA).
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Developer, including experience with ServiceNow platform versions such as Helsinki, Istanbul, Jakarta, Kingston, London, Madrid, New York, Orlando, Paris, Quebec, or later.
Additional Requirements:
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform components, including ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, HRSD, CSM, and other ServiceNow modules.
- Proficiency in ServiceNow development tools, including ServiceNow Studio, Visual Task Boards, Flow Designer, and Service Portal.
- Solid knowledge of ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, GlideRecord, GlideSystem, etc.) and customization techniques.
- Experience on an Agile Team (Scrum / Kanban)
- Experience with ServiceNow integrations using REST and SOAP web services, MID Server, and other integration methods.
- Solid understanding of security best practices and access controls within ServiceNow.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices, particularly in the context of IT service management.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and interact with clients.
