As an experienced Software Developer, you will be a key member of the team, contributing to the design and development of new features and enhancements that will be used by thousands of customers . Our team is small and fast moving so you should be as comfortable designing a new feature as you are writing and debugging code. You will work with a closely knit team of developers, analysts, designers, product managers and testers so excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in JavaScript development with an emphasis on the full web application stack and a solid understanding from the database to the web UI. Using the latest technologies means you must be willing to continuously learn new things.
In this role:
Develop, test and maintain system functionality based on agile user stories
Utilize the latest technologies such as React and Node.js
Leverage and maintain a modern, secure, serverless AWS cloud hosted platform
Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise
Maintaining technical documentation
Stay current and utilize the latest development tools and best practices
What you will need to succeed:
5+ years of relevant technical development work experience
Must have experience with JavaScript, full web application stack
Solid understanding from the database to the web UI
Experience with Amazon Web Services
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to think and act both strategically and tactically
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Strong analytical and multitasking skills
Curiosity and a strong desire to learn and grow your technical skillset
Experience working on a cross functional Agile Scrum team
Nice to have:
Experience with SQL databases
Experience with Datadog, AWS Cloudwatch, or similar application / infrastructure monitoring tools
Experience with GitHub, AWS CodePipeline, or similar CI/CD tools
What you can expect from us:
Base annual salary target: $100,000 - $125,000 (yes, we do have flexibility if needed)
