Job Summary:
Caterpillar’s Resource Industries Electrification Solutions (RIES) team is developing key technologies to help our customers build a better, more sustainable world! Our products will help shape the future of electrified mine sites around the world, and as Senior Service Consultant, you can be a key part of that journey with us. As the Senior Service Consultant, you will have a pivotal role to work with Caterpillar team members in the field as well as our customers and dealers to understand customer needs and preferences, and work with Engineering and other internal partners to deliver solutions that make our customers successful.
What you will do:
Serve as the Senior Service Consultant for Energy Transfer New Production Introduction (NPI) programs
Understand customer needs and preferences as they relate to reliability, durability and serviceability of our solutions
Recommend product quality targets
Working closely with proving grounds and mine site teams, lead the process of issue documentation and communication
Lead the process of issue prioritization and management, in partnership with our Engineering team
Advise on root cause and correction action (RCCA), validation and measuring resolution effectiveness
Advise on refinement of requirements
Participate in system, component and sub-system design reviews
Provide guidance to development of NPI deliverables, including product support publications, service tooling and training
Support site deployment and field follow
Guide the RI Electrification Solutions team to utilize standard work

• Uses varying problem-solving approaches and techniques as appropriate.
• Contributes to standard practices for problem-solving approaches, tools, and processes.

Education and Experience requirement:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical in nature) or equivalent work experience
Superior communication and facilitation skills
Strong organizational skills
Understanding of product development
Experience with electrification, power systems or heavy equipment
Top Candidates will also have:
Experience with issues management
Experience working with customers
Understanding of mining equipment and mine site operations
Experience with Caterpillar product development processes (APQP, PPRD, NPI, etc.)
Additional Information:
The primary location for this position is Tucson, AZ
Domestic relocation assistance is available
This position may require 25% travel
