Senior ScientistRegenerative Cell Therapies(Newton, MA)

Job Description:

ReLive Life Sciences Limited is actively seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Research Scientistto lead our Discovery efforts in the development of innovative Cell Therapies addressing critical needs in orthopedic regenerative medicine and reconstructive surgery. This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual who is intellectually curious, driven by innovation, and eager to play a pivotal role in the development of cutting-edge Cell Therapies. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in a diverse range of molecular and cellular biology techniques, including ELISA, PCR, and other relevant assays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the design, execution, and management of regenerative medicine discovery projects from concept to preclinical development, ensuring alignment with company goals and timelines.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge and expertise in cell therapy to guide project strategies and decision-making.
  • Design, plan, and execute experiments to investigate novel regenerative targets, technologies, and platforms, utilizing cutting-edge methodologies and techniques.
  • Lead the cultivation and expansion of mammalian cells, overseeing the maintenance of in vitro cell culture studies.
  • Implement and optimize cell culture protocols, ensuring robust reproducibility and scalability.
  • Assess cellular viability, proliferation, differentiation, and conduct comprehensive characterization studies.
  • Leverage expertise in cell staining, fluorescent imaging, ELISA techniques, PCR, and other molecular techniques for the in-depth analysis of gene expression in Regenerative Cell Therapies.
  • Characterize cellular products using a variety of advanced analytical techniques to assess potency, purity, and identity.
  • Provide crucial support for translational efforts, guiding the transition from benchtop experiments to pre-clinical in vivo models.
  • Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and draw actionable conclusions to drive project advancement and inform decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Present findings and project updates to internal teams, senior management, and external audiences through presentations, publications, and conferences..
  • Maintain detailed and accurate laboratory records and contribute to the preparation of regulatory submissions.
  • Other duties asigned by supervisor.

Competencies/Skills Required & Educational Requirements:

  • PhD with 2-5 years (preferred) or MS with more than 7 years relevant experience in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in cell culture techniques and a high level of proficiency in molecular biology techniques, including ELISA and PCR.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated capability in generating impactful scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals, with a strong publication track record reflecting contributions to the field of cell therapy.
  • Experience with regulatory requirements and guidelines for cell therapy development is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically, problem-solve, and innovate in a fast-paced research environment.
