EXPERIENCE REQUIRMENTS
A. Minimum 10 years of recent experience in construction scheduling using Primavera P6 software in project controls.
B. Demonstrated experience with earned value management time-impact analysis, delay claims, and change orders analysis.
C. Experience working with MTA agencies and railroad projects, preferred.
D. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook).
E. Demonstrated ability with simple and complex analytical reports of schedule.
F. Power Business Intelligence experience, preferred.
G. Demonstrated experience comprehending drawings and specifications.
H. Strong written and verbal communications skills.
I. Understanding of construction and construction means and methods.
J. Certification by Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering in planning and scheduling, or Project Management Professional Certification, preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Project Scheduler shall:
A. Develop and issue detailed integrated Critical Path Method schedules based on scopes of work, estimates, drawings, contract specifications and other project documents.
B. Create work breakdown schedules manage work.
C. Identify predecessor and successor relationships between activities through logic or sequencing of work.
D. Load the project resources and cost into the integrated project schedules.
E. Develop and assign Primavera P6 standardized codes based on relevant attributes such as locations, disciplines, track outages, and other attributes applicable for grouping and sorting.
F. Prepare, update, and distribute monthly progress reports that include:
a. Monthly bar charts, histograms;
b. Look ahead schedules;
c. Completed and in-progress work;
d. Earned value, S-Curve, comparison and variance reports; and
e. Trend analysis reports with baseline schedules.
G. Identify and analyze critical paths and activities, forecast delays and consider alternative scenarios to ensure to ensure on time and on budget project delivery.
H. Conduct internal time impact and delay claim analyses to recommend actions and responses for the project management.
I. Develop alternate scheduling and recovery scenarios and mitigation and corrective action plans to maintain cost and scheduling.
J. Assist in the development of a comprehensive Capital Program plan that compiles all projects and associated force account resources.
K. Analyze and develop revised project CPM schedules based on the status of goals, production rates, scope changes, budget and available resources.
L. Analyze and develop revised project CPM schedules to initiate corrective actions and pro-actively manage budgeted resources.
M. Review, analyze and integrate third party schedules with Signals BU force account scopes of work.
N. Liaise with project team members during all phases of the project work.
O. Visit job sites to collect monthly updates.
P. Attend project and field meetings throughout the construction period.
Q. Ability to comprehend construction drawings and specifications.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70.00 - $85.00 per hour
