PMA is currently seeking a Senior Program Master Scheduler for an exclusive assignment supporting the $8.5 billion 7-year NYC Borough-Based Jail System Program. The Senior Program Master Scheduler will be located in the PMO office in New York City (Manhattan).
Responsibilities include:
- Develop, update, and maintain the master program schedule (cost and resource loaded).
- Perform schedule reviews, prepare monthly schedule update analysis reports, investigate, and analyze schedule impacts, and recommend corrective action plans to be taken to mitigate/avoid cost and schedule overruns.
- Monitor, review, and report the project master program schedule status to the executive management team.
- Prepare, discuss, and present materials related to the Program Master schedule in meetings with the Owner, A/E representatives, and other contractors, as required.
- Develop “what-if” schedule scenarios, mitigation schedules, look-ahead schedules, and time impact analyses.
- Identify schedule issues, opportunities, and corrective actions to mitigate potential delays to projects.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in engineering and/or construction management required.
- 12 – 15 years of experience in planning and scheduling /project controls/program controls on multiple sides of the business (e.g., consultant, owner, owner rep, contract/architect, contractor, engineer) required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in seamless collaboration across diverse projects. You will need adept awareness of on-site activities to ensure accurate updates to the Master Schedule.
- Must have Time Impact Analysis (TIA) expertise.
- Experience in institutional/high-rise building construction, preferably with experience in detention facilities required.
- Experience with value management & reporting required.
- Experience in claims defense & prevention required.
- Field experience preferred.
- BIM and risk analysis knowledge a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient using Primavera P6, MS Project, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience in both project and program-level collaboration and reporting.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the preparation, and development of resource-loaded design and construction schedules using the Critical Path Method (CPM).
- Relevant construction scheduling experience in planning, scheduling, expediting, maintaining, and reporting the progress/status of work.
- Must have a reliable, proven, and verifiable record of career stability and scheduling success.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Understanding of construction and construction means and methods.
