About The Role:
As a SCADA engineer you will work as a member of the SCADA team along with the controls engineers and the software engineers to assure the SCADA system is properly integrated and operational. You will look to both implement new machinery while retrofitting existing farms into the driven architecture. You will look to continue to improve the production process and equipment efficiency while minimizing machinery and farm downtime. Your experience in the field will play a critical role in your success. Attention to detail and a focus on excellence drive you in your daily activities. You will also always be thinking about continuous improvements and cost reduction to continue to drive Farm profitability.
What You'll Do:
- Participate to develop and implement internal SCADA standards
- Implement the design and coordination of the SCADA system delivery across all equipment and farms
- Program, test, and commissioning of the SCADA system
- Work with the Infrastructure team to set up the security of the SCADA systems from external attacks
- Develop the system access management
- Work closely with Controls Engineers on solutions for current and future farms
- KPI generation and data deployment based on internal requirements such as throughput, availability, and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) as examples
- Previous experience with integration with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Warehouse Execution Systems (WES), or proprietary master system
- Select hardware and software that support SCADA integrations
- Lead continuous improvement and optimization initiatives
Who You Are:
- You have experience with SCADA - Ignition
- You have experience with PLCs - AB, Omron, Siemens
- You have a strong foundation of Human Factors pertaining to effective human machine interface design
- You have a strong skill set around Software design and development processes, with development experience in Object Oriented Programming, Java, Node.JS, JSON, and Python; HTML & CSS is a plus
- You have previous experience in the manufacturing space, with Food & Beverage as a plus
- You have experience with operation efficiency practices
- You have previous experience in Automation and Controls or similar disciplines
- You have strong team experience and can work cross functionally
- You have led projects and managed your time effectively
- You lead by example with a get things done attitude
