Job Overview


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SBA Credit Analyst to join our dynamic Financial Services team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in Small Business Administration (SBA) lending and a proven record of accomplishment in the Financial Services industry. The Senior SBA Credit Analyst will play a pivotal role in collaborating with our product team and developers to enhance our SaaS banking platform, consult with clients and partners and work directly with our lending teams. The primary focus will be as a subject matter expert helping deliver on the promise of our market leading SaaS platform. You will collaborate with our Product, Design and Engineering teams to identify opportunities, add sophistication and automation, help set up clients and test new features. Additionally, you will work with our own underwriting team and our SBA partners to teach.


Key Responsibilities


SBA Credit Analysis

  • Conduct thorough credit analysis on small business loan applications in accordance with SBA guidelines and company policies.
  • Assess the creditworthiness of applicants, considering financial statements, cash flow projections, and other relevant financial data.

Experience with 7a,7a Express, 504, Microloans and Caplines


Financial Services Industry Expertise

  • Leverage extensive experience in the Financial Services industry to provide valuable insights and recommendations.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to ensure compliance and competitiveness.

Collaboration with Product Team/Developers

  • Work closely with the product team and developers to Improve our SaaS banking platform.
  • Collaborate on testing efforts to identify and resolve issues, ensuring the platform meets the highest standards of functionality and reliability.

Feedback and Improvement

  • Provide constructive feedback to the development team based on testing results and user experience.
  • Work collaboratively to iterate on the product, addressing any identified shortcomings and enhancing overall performance.

Documentation

  • Maintain detailed documentation of testing processes, findings, and recommendations.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring a clear understanding of credit analysis outcomes and platform requirements.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 plus years of experience as an SBA Credit Analyst within the Financial Services industry.
  • Proven record of accomplishment of successful collaboration with product teams and developers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of SBA guidelines and small business lending practices.
  • Familiarity with SaaS banking platforms and software testing processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Certifications

SBA Preferred Lender Program certification is highly desirable.
