Senior Revenue Analyst

The Senior Revenue Analyst will be the bridge between Revenue Cycle and Financial Reporting. The successful candidate will have technical accounting knowledge, a strong revenue cycle understanding, and the ability to see the “big picture”. The candidate can clearly present findings, variances and explanations to the management team. This role ensures the integrity of revenue reporting by accessing and analyzing billing reports for the timely and accurate preparation of month end accounting close and financial reporting activities. Revenue calculations in fee-for-service and value-based contracts, cash forecasting, revenue per visits analysis, understanding payor fee schedules, reconciling attributed lives and providing information to the Revenue Cycle, Operations, Accounting & Finance and Management teams will all be core responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Generates billing system reports to perform month-end accounting close procedures for revenue and accounts receivable, including journal entry creation, account reconciliations, reserve analysis and cash deposit balancing
• Work with the Managed Care team to analyze payor attribution, quality and risk payments and determine the impact of proposed changes to payor contracts
• Lead the analysis of revenue trends and revenue per visit reporting
• Reconciles daily cash inflows between billing system and bank accounts
• Assists in the integration of newly purchased health care practices from legacy systems to ensure revenue integrity throughout the process
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience

• BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, Business or Operations
• 2+ years of progressive financial analysis, accounting, revenue cycle or healthcare operations experience
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel, spreadsheet and data management proficiency
• Healthcare industry and billing/EMR system knowledge a must
• Athena experience is a big plus
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Quick to recognize trends and diagnose problems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• This position is located in-office in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.

• Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 25 pounds.

Salary: $60,00 - $95,000 / annually
