Job Summary
The Senior Regulatory Specialist will assist in addressing critical day to day customer facing regulatory compliance needs, monitor global regulatory landscape to understand impact on Avient products, and in maintenance of the Product Regulatory systems (including EH&S modules on Product Safety, HazComm, Dangerous Goods, etc).. Will work closely with technology, sales and other business functions to address customer regulatory requirements, and compliance related product formulation changes.
Essential Functions
Understand, apply and stay current with regulations related to Hazard Communication (North America, Europe, Asia, etc.), including regulations related to chemical substances, SDS and label authoring.
Using tools within the EH&S Module, provide data for customer requests and various reports.
Develop and maintain SDS for the non-prime materials and other manually produced SDS.
Have a good understanding and working knowledge of regulations such as such as REACH, ROHS, TSCA, and global Food contact regulations
Manage Data Systems to generate reports, metrics and management information on RMS usage, FGs and chemicals.
Provide assistance in developing, implementing and maintaining Product Stewardship/Regulatory standards for new product development, review Product Stewardship procedures for plants and business groups, and provide interpretation and training to end-users.
Create documentation of internal processes and procedures Initiate and implement process improvements to maximize efficiency
Assist in evaluating compliance with Product Stewardship standards and applicable laws and regulations. Assist in identifying and maintaining new requirements, provide information to business units and plants to elevate awareness, work with consultants and law firms.
Maintain the Product Stewardship systems current, update for changes, and provide consulting, interpretation and training on system updates.
Act as backup for the EH&S PS Managers supporting specialties such as FDM/TPC.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree
5 years in manufacturing, regulatory, environmental health and safety
Additional Qualifications
Proficiency in EH&S module preferred
Excellent working knowledge of various computer software applications (i.e., Microsoft Office applications)
