In this role you will contribute to FCC Regulations and Carrier Certifications for Itron's Networking Team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- As a key member of our dynamic team, you'll embark on a collaborative journey with engineering, regulatory bodies, and external partners to secure market and customer-specific approvals.
- Engage with various groups early in the product life cycle, fostering compliance by design rather than retrofitting later.
- Keep an eye on progress and costs, communicating and addressing issues throughout the development cycle.
- Showcase your ability to manage product compliance seamlessly from concept to global sale, adapting to changes during the life cycle.
Required Skills & Experience
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
- 5+ years in hardware development
- 5+ years in regulatory compliance
- Must be experienced getting global regulatory compliance. SRD, ISM, RFID, SAR, MPE, Safety
- Experienced managing multiple projects with industry certifications (BT-Sig, PTCRB, GCF) and carrier certifications (PTCRB, AT&T, Verizon)
- Experience with US and International product compliance regulations (i.e., FCC, ISED, CE) and product safety standards (UL, CSA, Intrinsic Safety, ATEX).
- Experience with industry certifications (BT-Sig, PTCRB, GCF) and carrier certifications (PTCRB, AT&T, Verizon)
- Hands on experience with Cellular (3G, 4G, LTE, etc.) and wireless technologies like WLAN, BT, 802.11
- Knowledge of environmental compliance testing, standards, procedures, and equipment.
- Experience in EMC test and debug principles.
- Good general understanding of hardware design constraints and tradeoffs and an ability to find cost effective work-arounds where feasible; ability to simultaneously investigate multiple avenues to solve problems.
- Excellent understanding of product delivery life-cycles in a dynamic fast paced environment; ability to manage product compliance from concept to global sale.
- Ability to document technical requirements from industry and regulatory standards.

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience. Liberty Lake, WA - $75,000 - $184,000
