Senior Registered Behavior Technician

The Senior RBT works actively with clients in an office, school, home, or community-based setting as a Direct RBT. This requires energy, enthusiasm, and physical capabilities to engage the client in tasks and play activities. This position may also require extensive clinical knowledge and implementation of crisis intervention techniques. In addition to direct RBT duties, the Senior RBT will carry out indirect activities related to the clinic’s daily operations as instructed by the Senior BCBA. The primary goals of the Senior RBT are the effective implementation of the daily programs based on ABA principles, the correct usage of curriculum and materials, and the overall organization of the clinic.

This position reports directly to the Senior BCBA for all operational and managerial functions. The RBT Senior is clinically supervised by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.

Position Controls: Full-time Staff member, Min admin hours 9 hr/week, Max admin hours .75 hr /FTE Client per week

Reporting: Senior RBT to BCBA to ABA Executive Director

Duties

• Provides one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to clients.
• Correctly uses and models ABA processes, strategies, and Catalyst Policies.
• Remains on-call during indirect hours for cover, as needed.
• Provides floor support to staff during set hours.
• Assisting with staff breaks
• Assisting in Behaviors
• Taking ABC data
• Answering or directing questions to the CC or a BCBA, Assistant Supervisor as needed.
• Provides feedback and insight to the clinical leadership team regarding the client’s needs and changes in behavior as observed on the floor.
• Collaborates with the Clinical team to ensure sound treatment and interventions.
• Provides mentorship and support to new staff as assigned by the Senior BCBA or BCBAs.
• Completes clinical activities assigned by their assigned BCBA.
• Back entry into Central Reach.
• Assisting in Program Modification and RBT feedback chain as assigned.
• Assists in creating and implementing daily/weekly/monthly programs and curriculum, stimuli, and client materials.
• Gathers/organizes materials for programming
• Regular inventory and maintenance/cleaning of stimuli, toys, curriculum materials
• Assists in the organization and efficiency of the program’s daily operations.
• May assist with case reviews during new hire training process as assigned by BCBAs.
• May lead team meetings under the direction of the BCBA
• Conducts FBA or skills-based assessments under the direction of the BCBA
• Assists in behavior plan implementation, initial testing, and progress reports under the direction of the BCBA
• Protects the health and safety of clients and fellow employees by reporting all critical incidents and potential risks and following all health and safety procedures.
• Completes additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

1. High school diploma or GED
2. Minimum of 1 year experience in ABA
3. Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) certification
4. 6 months or more longevity with the company or exceptional experience
5. Maintains 80% monthly utilization of scheduled hours
6. Obtain and maintain BLS Certification
7. Obtain and Maintain Safety Care Certification
8. Excellent Communication Skills
9. Proficiency with technology
10. Follows all company policies involving conversion of timesheets and medical documentation.

Physical demands:

Under normal circumstances, the employee will need to have the physical capacity to continuously use his/her hands for simple and firm grasping and fine manipulation. The employee may be required to do the following:

1. Physically able to respond quickly from any position, walk quickly or jog short distances, stand on feet for a minimum of 15 minutes
2. Lift and carry 25-100 lbs.
3. Push / Pull up to 150 lbs
4. Squat / Kneel / Stoop
5. Bend
6. Twist upper, and lower back
