Salary: $120,000 per year
We are working with a leading global manufacturer of automotive components, serving major automakers around the world, who are currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Quality Engineer to join their team at their Novi, Michigan facility.
Responsibilities:
- Support customers on quality-related issues, including conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
- Manage the PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) for new and existing products, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and industry standards
- Liaise with manufacturing facilities in the US to ensure quality control processes are followed and the products meet customer specifications
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce defects and improve efficiency
- Provide leadership and guidance to the quality team and mentor junior team members
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and other departments within the company
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Quality Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Engineering in the automotive industry, with at least 2 years in a Senior Quality Engineering role
- Strong knowledge of quality tools and techniques, such as FMEA, APQP, and SPC
- Experience with PPAP and customer-specific requirements
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage multiple priorities
- Experience working in a TS16949 or ISO 9001 certified facility is preferred
