THE ROLE
The Senior Quality Engineer will work closely with various stakeholders to develop statistical process controls and incoming, in-process, and final inspection plans to ensure high Customer Satisfaction. This position will also be responsible for tracking and trending quality metrics, conducting failure analysis, and implementing corrective actions to address trending defects and/or Customer complaints.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Analyzes data to identify trends in product quality or defects to mitigate and prevent recurrence and future defects.
- Implement methods to inspect, test, and evaluate products and production equipment.
- Develop and establish quality procedures and systems for inspecting plans, quality trends, and statistical sampling.
- Perform failure analysis and implement corrective actions as it relates to product and process nonconformances
- Analyze and trend supplier quality performance
- Conduct supplier quality system audits and surveys.
- Initiate programs to enhance supplier performance.
- Interact with manufacturing and engineering teams to optimize documentation related to quality and inspection checks.
- Reviews and approves design, manufacturing, and testing documentation.
- Ensures that products meet the organization's and customers’ quality and product integrity requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
The Candidate
Professional Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline is required.
- Experience working in ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 environment
- 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience in a Manufacturing environment
- Proficient in Statistical Analysis and Statistical Process Controls
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Experience in the steel industry is a plus

Pay: $125,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
