A Senior Project Specialist position in Springfield, NJ 07081 is currently available at Belcan Engineering. This is a full-time direct position with benefits. As a Senior Project Specialist, you will be located on site at the suppliers facility, responsible for all aspects of planning, preparing, issuing and aligning production schedules with inside and outside processing requirements. This coordination ensures a controlled flow of accepted materials, timed to meet production requirements. You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Inventory, and Production Control to ensure product meets requirements and are available to support internal and external processing. Knowledge of aerospace hardware design, assembly and sub-assembly integration, inspection, process documentation, machining, fabrication, welding, NDT, and other various aerospace design and manufacturing processes is beneficial.
JOB DUTIES:
* Developing one or more project plans and schedules for defined scope of testing, hardware build, or production.
* Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure proper planning and execution of testing, hardware build, or production.
* Identifying project dependencies, risks, and schedule impacts while developing a schedule for identified work scope.
* Reporting project progress (status, risks, opportunities, roadblocks, and KPIs), monitoring, and reporting status.
* Monitoring supplier progress on site through daily tag ups with production.
* Identifying and actioning change requests as needed.
* Solve daily project issues inhibiting supplier or operations production and/or testing operations.
* Lead testing operations by locating and obtaining critical tools, parts, and support as needed.
* Tracking parts and critical hardware through build areas in the supplier work-in-process, or at the Blue Rocket Factory.
* Interfacing with production control and area managers for service and priority for Umbilicals hardware and testing.
* Manage logistics of cleaning and delivering tools or storage containers to testing, operations, or where else the team requires them.
* Bring in critical escalations, including Quality Engineers or Responsible Engineers for resolution of Non-Conformances (NCs) when they come up & ensure NCs are closed in timely manner to support production.
* Manage any receiving/inspection roadblocks to get delivered hardware to kittable locations.
* Deliveries of non-inventory hardware to LETF by arranging pickups or expediting delivery when needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or equivalent technical field
* 7-10 years' experience in project engineering, technical project management, manufacturing or NPI program management
* Experience running sophisticated datasets, spreadsheets, and Tableau dashboards
* Strong digital literacy (MS Excel, MS Project)
* Strong interpersonal skills in technical work environments
* 100% onsite at Vendor Facility
* Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
* Must be a U.S. citizen
* Travel Requirement: Up to 25%
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* MBA and/or Project Management certification (PMP/Certified Project Manager)
* Experience in Aerospace ElectroMechanical and Fluids Systems
* Self-starter, strong bias for action
* Experience working with mid-size fluid and mechanical hardware suppliers
* Knowledge and experience using CREO and Windchill
* Knowledge of metal fabrication and machining techniques, heat treatments, welding, non-destructive testing, plating and coatings, part marking, preservation and packaging, assembly and product testing, along with the potential interactions of these items with product design and supply chain processes.
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position offers a pay range of $104,000 to $124,800.
