Pay Range: $190,000 - $230,000
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for guiding projects from conception to completion, ensuring that all projects are finalized on time and within budget. The incumbent plays an instrumental role in driving project initiatives that affect the design and development, as well as the maintenance, stability, scalability, resiliency, and sustainability for the following areas of Apple Bank’s Information Technology Division: Infrastructure, Digital Applications, Systems & Standards, and Access. The successful candidate must have experience leading projects in multiple areas of technology simultaneously to drive the overall division’s
strategic direction and new initiatives, while ensuring a stable and high-performance operational platform that meets or exceeds the Bank’s
day-to-day needs. Additionally, the Senior Project Manager works closely with the Director of the IT Project Management Office (PMO), senior leadership, and peer groups to ensure that IT is always in sync with the needs of our business and the ever-changing financial industry.
- Manage all IT project work streams and documents of projects (schedules, tasks, cost, as well as changes, risks, issues) via the Bank’s IT PMO & EPMO (Enterprise Project Management Office) processes, procedures, and tools.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverables; track progress and review tasks to ensure deadlines are met in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Identify issues that may impact project deliverables and facilitate the evaluation of alternatives and solutions using a systematic, multi-step approach.
- Work cross functionally to resolve issues, mitigate risks, and implement changes; analyze decisions and escalate more complex issues to senior management for resolution.
- Manage projects with realistic resource plans for all phases, including the handover to production support.
- Assess impact of technology requirements and constraints on project scope.
- Utilize IT project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid) to drive technical solution delivery.
- Employ IT solution delivery processes, procedures, and toolsets (DevOps, configuration management, change management) to deliver resilient, stable, hardened, and scalable solutions.
- Oversee IT project financials - project budget and forecast for IT external r sources, hardware, software, labor.
- Ensure the solution and the team follow IT ITIL/ ITSM standards, Enterprise Architecture, Cyber Security standards/policies, and other company technical standards.
- Fulfill requirements for the IT PMO and IT Governance process including status reporting entries, project documentation standards, project reviews and gate promotions as defined in our IT playbook.
- Work collaboratively with program, project teams, and various IT teams and related business unit staff to maintain thorough knowledge of the project objectives.
- Perform other duties as requested.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education, or Information Systems or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience; Project Management Certification is preferred.
- 7+ years of increasingly responsible experience, including experience successfully managing various projects; experience working in the financial industry a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple enterprise level/high traffic projects, meet deadlines, and interface with different business units.
- Must have experience in managing network infrastructure projects (firewalls, routers, switches and telecom).
- Experience in managing server infrastructure projects (Active Directory, VMWare, VDI, DNS, SMTP, DHCP, etc.).
- Proven skills in the effective use of Microsoft Project and Visio.
- Strong communication skills (verbal + written).
- Superior interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, and negotiating skills, to ensure open communication across project teams.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and planning abilities.
- Ability to critically evaluate information from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high level information into details and abstract low-level information to a more general understanding
- Excellent understanding of project management concepts around waterfall and agile management.
- Strong general business acumen, including financial management skills.
- Vendor management experience, including contract negotiations a plus.
