Trissential is currently seeking a Senior Project Managerto join our dynamic team in Denver, CO or Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid).

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

• The client strives to be the preferred and trusted provider of the energy our customers need.
• To deliver that energy, we need a skilled and dedicated project delivery team.
• We are searching for a highly qualified Project Manager to help us maintain our position as an industry leader.
• The ideal candidate will have experience delivering business applications related to finance as well as strong skills in executive communication and managing large IT application projects.
• The Project Manager will prepare and present updates regularly to relevant management channels, ensuring that our project goals are being achieved.
• Putting in a new budget/forecast system. SAP SAC as the platform.
• Finance background. 1 to 1.5 year project. Starting in planning. Starting implantation in January.
• Build out project plan. 15 MM critical project.
• Experience managing large projects.
• Requirements, design of application deployment. Standard on premise. No infrastructure/networking or telecom. 3 in team to make decisions. One of the decision makers working closely with this PM.
• Working with system integrator on this project.
• Experience with vendor management - Nice to have.
• Would prefer PMP or something similar. SCRUM certification doesn't do much.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing complex and high risks projects.
• Oversees project budgets and schedules.
• Manage day-to-day aspects of project scope.
• Minimizes project risk.
• Creates and manages project work plans and work breakdown structures.
• Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance, by providing purpose, direction, and motivation
• Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation
• Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget
• Analyze project status and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met
• Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes
• Develop and maintain partnerships with third-party resources, including vendors
• Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to escalation channel
• Financial tracking for the project

Qualifications

Required:

• Ten or more years of project management experience, with at least 5 years of application related deployments
• Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines
• Proven success working with all levels of management
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong executive communication skills
• Experience managing large IT projects
• Excellent presentation skills
• Concentrated experience on Captial expenditures/experience.

Preferred:

• Experience managing projects that deploy finance applications
• Professional certification such as PMP
• Delivered applications to internal business users
• Experience working with business users as well as IT resources
• Experience with SAP SAC implementations 
• Utility experience would be nice to have
