Our Opportunity
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Manager of Project Accounting to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a profound understanding of Project Accounting principles, including work in progress, job costing, and over/under billing. As the Senior Manager of Project Accounting, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing project financials, ensuring accuracy, and contributing to the overall success of our organization.
Key duties include:

• Project Accounting Expertise: Leverage in-depth knowledge of Project Accounting methodologies to manage and supervise the financial aspects of ongoing projects, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct comprehensive financial analysis on project performance, work in progress, and job costing to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Billing and Revenue Recognition: Oversee billing processes and ensure adherence to revenue recognition policies, minimizing over/under billing discrepancies.
• Communication Skills: Demonstrate strong communication skills to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams, both in person and virtually. Foster collaboration and maintain clear lines of communication to facilitate seamless Project Accounting operations.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of project accountants, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure high-performance standards.
• Travel Requirements: Be prepared to travel up to 25% of the time to various offices, collaborating with project teams and addressing on-site accounting requirements.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Stay abreast of industry best practices and implement improvements as needed.

Ideal candidate should have:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or relevant professional certification is a plus.
• Extensive experience in Project Accounting, with a focus on work in progress, job costing, and billing.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
