- Supporting site assessment/remediation, hydrogeology, and environmental risk management studies and services in both the field and office
- Supporting engineering remediation system design including vapor intrusion mitigation systems (VIMS) and other soil, soil vapor, and groundwater remediation systems
- Interfacing directly with project internal and external personnel including, but not limited to, principals, business operations personnel, clients, subcontractors, and regulators
- Preparing technical reports, proposals, and cost estimates
- Preparing and generating routine reports and correspondence of high quality
- Reviewing field reports prepared by Staff/Senior Staff Professionals, and providing guidance to field personnel as directed by Project Managers
- Managing project tasks, as appropriate, under supervision from Senior, Associate, and/or Principal staff
- Collecting data in complex field situations with limited supervision
- With minimal supervision, preparing routine proposals, including definition of scope, strategies, and cost estimates, in addition to assisting in preparing large-scale or more complex proposals
- Calculating routine project budgets
- Reviewing and evaluating complex data and integrate data evaluations
- Contacting vendors and researching literature and regulatory requirements
- Preparing plans and specifications as a member of a design team, or in support of more senior staff
- Organizing field work and assigning tasks to staff
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited university in geology or related scientific field
- 10-15 years of demonstrated consulting experience in Washington
- Washington registration/license in Geology (LG) or Hydrogeology (LHG) preferred
- Operational knowledge of computer databases and office programs (MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Teams)
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification and OSHA 8-hour Supervisor Training
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to prepare reports and proposals
- Excellent writing and technical analytical skills
- Ability to effectively work on project teams
