Description
With an office in our northern region (Frisco/McKinney/Plano area), this Senior Program Director will report to our Regional Executive Director and be accountable for the overall quality, growth, and success of our Out-of-School Time programs (Afterschool, Day Camp, Holiday Camp) in an assigned territory. The Senior Director will lead a team of 4-6 Full Time staff, managing a budget of 5m+ and have indirect supervision of 200+ PT staff.
To be successful in this role, the individual must be a proven leader who exhibits inclusivity and compassion, knows how to obtain results through leading their team, and be a forward-thinking, strategic, and centered individual who can embrace change and navigate ambiguity. The Senior Director will work closely with other YMCA, District, and Community leaders to support the goals of a 14m+ Childcare branch.
Key Focus Areas:
  • Will ensure safety, program fidelity, excellent customer service by visibility, coaching, and training Team Members, tracking trends, and developing next steps to uphold the culture and expectations of one of the largest branches at the Dallas YMCA.
  • Responsible for a growth-based model at existing sites, and demonstrate the ability to lead well through the opening of new sites with an optimistic, can-do, team-oriented attitude.
  • Will drive results through their team, including, not limited to: ensuring trained, happy and productive Team Members as measured by our Training Compliance and Retention reports as well as Site Staffing Grids; territory growth as measured by our Key Enrollment Indicator reports; exceeding philanthropic/fundraising goals; safe and quality sites that meet or exceed the standards of the state and the YMCA; maintaining customer satisfaction as measured through Listen 360.
  • Is able to think critically, formulate solutions and adapt to shifting needs in the OST environment.
  • Oversee the hiring, training, and development of staff.
  • Meet or exceed program budget.
  • Model relationship-building skills in all interactions with staff, volunteers, members, and the community.
  • Maintain leadership and an active role in the following committees: Curriculum, Training, Quality Improvement and Summer Camp leadership.
  • Work with diversity and inclusion initiatives to ensure "For All" in our communities and staffing.
  • Support the overall objectives and culture of the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, and the Childcare Branch.

Requirements
  • Able to promote an inclusive environment.

  • Education & Certifications: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience and Background: 5+ years of senior management experience, preferable in a YMCA or another nonprofit agency, with demonstrated successful track record with a budget accountability of $3M+. Effective communication, networking, and collaboration skills.
  • Proven track record of leading multi-site locations including staff at varying levels.
  • Experience in volunteer development, fundraising and fiscal management.
  • Ability to manage teams of staff and volunteers.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills, capable of working effectively with board members, staff members, volunteers, and donors/prospects.
  • Ability to represent the YMCA in a mature and professional manner building strong relationships with leaders in a wide variety of organizations in the community.
  • Ability to connect and relate with diverse groups of people at all levels of the organization.
  • Developing self and others; develops self and supports others (e.g., staff, volunteers, members, program participants), both formally and informally, to achieve their highest potential.

Pay Range: $58,000 - $61,000 if annualized
