ECHO is looking to add to our Marketing and Product Development teams! The Industrial Power Equipment (IPE) Senior Product Market Manager will report directly to the VP of Marketing/Product Development. The IPE Senior Market Manager will possess a unique blend of product development and marketing strategy experience. The IPE Senior Product Market Manager will have a solid background in the industrial commercial diesel generator and portable diesel welder industries.
This is a hybrid position that will offer the flexibility of working from home and on-site at our Lake Zurich facility.

Duties/Responsibilities:
New Product Development & Launch:
- Collaborate with global businesses to ensure overall alignment in strategic development and execution.
- Working with the organization, drive product development from new product concept, through design/ engineering, manufacturability, and product launch/marketing promotion/strategy.
- Identify/evaluate, through collaboration with Sales, new product opportunities and develop business case/justification, bringing those ideas into the New Product Development process.
- Cross functional project lead for new product development or other project/initiatives.
- Ensure maximizing sales revenue, market share, and profit margins.
- Serve as the expert for the market, including a working knowledge of the user, applications, and competition.
- Product line and life cycle maintenance including part/BOM changes.
Market Development: Customer Value Creation:
- Be the subject matter expert in the competitive landscape, product promotions, (including the analysis and comparison of pricing, product features, performance, applications, and innovation) and drive strategies to differentiate own products in the marketplace.
- Support Sales with customer acquisition efforts, developing marketing collateral materials, trade shows, and other support items.
- Develop and implement IPE pricing strategies for all channels, reduce complexity and ensure proper execution.
- Bring the Voice of the Customer into organization through end user and customer visits.
- Perform market research: qualitative and quantitative; levering insights for NPD and strategy development.
Marketing:
- Understand and implement marketing strategies to create identity, positioning, and exposure. Includes, but not limited to, campaigns, graphics, advertising, video, point of sale, digital presence, email, catalogs/literature, social media, website, public relations, etc.
- Manage the analytics and data from various sources (i.e.: website, e-commerce, digital media) to drive channel. performance, top of brand mindset and end customer engagement.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies that differentiate IPE and enable the company to have a recognizable and sustainable competitive advantage that results in brand loyalty.
- Industry knowledge: maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, professional publications, and professional societies.
Job Experience/Skills:
- 7+ years work experience in Industrial Power equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Logical thinker.
Education:BS degree in marketing field or work experience equivalent.
