SHIFT EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR THIS POSITION - 1st/2nd/3rd


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Follow and adhere to company standard operating procedures, batch tickets, and process sheets.
  • Follow and adhere to company safety policies and other company policies outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Operate equipment used to make or fill batches: ADS, dedicated pump systems, scales/load cells, mixers, drum dumpers, bulk loading system, filling pumps, filling machines, etc.
  • For batch making, load raw materials into mix tanks per specified amounts shown on batch ticket.
  • Fill finished goods into proper containers per customer specific IDIOS and make container labels.
  • Operate forklift to move materials.
  • Participate on improvement teams and submit ideas.
  • Identify potential off-quality products during the process and initiates appropriate corrective actions through established company abnormal process.
  • Utilize company IT equipment such as SAP, Microsoft Access Database, & Microsoft Office to complete orders in the paint plant process.
  • Maintains housekeeping within the production areas.
  • Maintains all equipment.
  • Perform job activities in Operations areas as required.
  • Assure movement of waste from generation point to 90-day storage area
  • Properly close and label waste containers using NPAA procedures
  • Complete monthly online safety training.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Training:

  • General Employee Training (Annual)
  • Hazardous Waste / RCRA Training (Annual)
  • DOT General Awareness Training (Every 3 years)

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND/OR CERTIFICATION

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Passing Math Test
  • Minimum of 2 years manufacturing experience preferred

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries, and/or complaints
  • Display courtesy, tact and respect when dealing with others.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to wear a respirator and all other required PPEs – including being clean shaven for respirator use
  • Ability to work with isocyanate
  • Establish and maintains effective working relationships; demonstrates a commitment to teamwork
  • Maintain a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to work any shift hours and overtime in order to meet the needs of the business.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Ability to drive a fork truck preferred.
  • Previous experience with RF scanner preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must be able to frequently lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, the ability to focus, and the ability to see color.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Employee experiences constant interruptions and inflexible deadlines. The noise-level in this environment is moderate to loud. Duties are performed mostly indoors and at times outdoors. Out-of-town travel required as necessary for training and/or to carry out duties and responsibilities.
