Remote OR Hybrid : Reporting where work can/needs to be performed / collaboration should happen. If the person lives w/n 50 miles of such a location, they are expected to come in three times a week. If they do not live withing 50 miles of any of those locations, they don’t need to report in.

  • This role is based remotely but if you live within a 50-mile radius of [Atlanta, Austin, Detroit, Warren, or Milford], you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum.

About the Role:

The Senior Product Manager – eCommerce – Shop is responsible for the vision, strategy, roadmap, execution, and optimization of product initiatives through which we enable our customers to shop for accessories, parts, and OnStar products and services online. This includes conducting market research and competitive analysis, leading a team of Product Managers, and collaborating with other teams to ensure the successful launch of new products. The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, leveraging data and experience to identify problems and define solutions, and a passion for delivering exceptional products that drive business results and exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap based on customer needs, market trends, and competitive analysis. 
  • Recruit, hire, manage, and develop a team of Product Managers to drive the definition and execution of that vision, strategy, and roadmap. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business, design, and technology, to ensure product goals and priorities are well defined, understood, and executed. 
  • Leverage a deep understanding of product management for digital products to manage priorities and execution across teams/disciplines. 
  • Create and maintain product backlogs and prioritize features and enhancements based on business value, customer needs, and technical feasibility. 
  • Develop and manage product requirements, including user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria. 
  • Attend regular scrums, stand-ups, and status updates to help drive priority decisions and remove roadblocks. 
  • Work closely with UX/UI designers to develop intuitive and compelling user interfaces. 
  • Define and track key metrics using OKRs and KPIs to measure product success and inform future decisions. 
  • Communicate product plans, progress, and updates to leaders, partners, and stakeholders across the organization. 
  • Manage product launches, including developing go-to-market strategies and coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure successful releases. 
  • Conduct post-launch analysis to evaluate product performance and identify areas for improvement. 
  • Continuously iterate and improve the product based on user feedback, business performance, and market and competitive developments. 
  • Manage and execute on multiple projects in parallel, balancing the needs and timelines of each simultaneously. 
  • Manage partner relationships (internal and external) through communication, collaboration, and partnership. 
  • Ultimately own the digital product and be responsible for the delivery of that product and associated projects on time, on budget, on strategy, and with a superior level of quality and performance. 

Additional Description

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience working in the digital product management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. 
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the development of web, native app, and hybrid app products, with a proven history of successfully delivering consumer-centric digital solutions to market. 
  • Extensive experience managing technical, user, and business issues in a fast-moving digital organization. 
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, understand, and drive resolution of complex, mission-critical product issues. 
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies and practices. 
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and project leadership skills, including an ability to communicate effectively at an executive level. 
  • Ability to distill research and data to identify business opportunities and develop corresponding business cases. 
  • Ability to think strategically and drive ideas into action, with a positive outlook and willingness to take personal initiative. 
  • Ability to provide overall leadership across multiple disciplines and teams, while working collaboratively to deliver quality on time and on budget. 
  • Proven ability to collaborate with and achieve actionable results through others, build strong and sustainable relationships, and interact at all levels of the organization. 
  • Flexibility and proficiency in managing ambiguity and leading teams through changes strategic direction and/or priorities. 
  • Bachelor’s degree required with an MBA strongly preferred. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in retail highly desired. 
  • Education and/or experience in a technical discipline (computer science, software engineering, decision science, AI/ML) a plus. 

COMPENSATION : The median level of salary compensation for this role is $116,100 to $181,600 Annually.

BONUS POTENTIAL : An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
