About the team and position

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager who is customer focused, innovative and enthusiastic, who can help define the strategic vision and roadmap by working closely with various leaders (both functional and technical). In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide our portfolio of Business Applications, products, tools and services from conception to launch by connecting the technical, customer and business worlds. You will own the strategy and roadmap for the Business Applications such as Workday, ServiceNow, Coupa, Oracle Financials and Supply Chain. You will break down complex problems into steps that drive application teams to configure and implement new features and functionalities including automation wherever possible. You will work closely with People Operations, Accounting, Procurement, Technology Services, Engineering, Product teams to solve problems that create impact. Our teams are passionate and motivated to move fast in changing a huge and complex industry.

We iterate quickly with operational efficiency and are growing fast at scale. You will see your work have a significant, immediate impact for Technology Services as well as for our customers who use our Business Applications on a daily basis.

What you'll be doing

The Business Application cluster's Product Managers at Carvana are engaged in every stage of the product management process. They create impressive new attributes to please our customers and promote these enhancements to both internal and external customers. All of this is done with meticulous attention to detail to ensure the delivery of an outstanding final product.You will lead the partnership with People Operations, Accounting, Procurement, Technology Services, Engineering, Product teams in establishing strategies and priorities. You will guide the team in collaboration, alignment, gathering resources, breaking down efforts, and executing to ensure impact is realized. You will develop and maintain an understanding of Carvana strategy and stakeholder priorities to aid in guiding team decision-making.
You're highly autonomous and capable of taking high-level customer and business problems, developing a viable strategy to create impact, and quickly developing solutions. You love being involved with every step of the process, from ideation, to design and iteration.


  • Evangelize our mission and objectives with multiple partners.
  • Guide teams in executing qualitative and quantitative research to identify and deeply understand possible opportunities.
  • Organize, facilitate and lead the team in establishing product strategy down to the team level that is aligned with Carvana.
  • Define a product roadmap and determine requirements for each release based on user requirements, technical architecture, and business needs
  • Work closely with the application teams through the design, development, testing, release, and maintenance of the product to ensure its quality and successful delivery on time
  • Guide the product teams towards high-value OKRs
  • Handle education and adoption of platform features by internal development teams
  • Coordinate and align requirements across multiple Scrum and Kanban teams operating in a sophisticated distributed software environment
  • Lead the team in working out highly efficient and effective means to build for learning, validation, and maximum impact.
  • Be capable of fluidly conversing with senior leaders, stakeholders, engineers, operators, to ensure team efforts are valuable, viable, feasible, and usable.
  • Build strong relationships with leaders from different backgrounds and disciplines across Carvana.
  • Communicate clearly in writing, informal huddles, and formal presentations.
  • Work with key stakeholders to estimate user impact, metrics, level of effort, and risks to guide critical prioritization decisions.
  • Track, analyze, interpret, and share results of product team initiatives to track progress against KPIs.
  • Engage team members individually and in small group settings in a way that builds trust, influence, and leaves people feeling good about working with you.
  • Bring a flexible, entrepreneurial, "whatever it takes" attitude to creating impact.

What you should know

  • Solid experience in Business Applications (such as Workday, ServiceNow, Coupa, Oracle Financials etc.,) product management at one or more highly successful (and ideally hypergrowth) companies.
  • An eye for excellent product sense, and the ability to lead teams to create superior technologies.
  • Proven track record of building application roadmaps and prioritizing stakeholder requests
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a particular talent for creating shared understanding of problems and excitement. around a vision for the future.
  • Determination to do whatever it takes to make the vision of the teams successful.
  • Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research to identify and deeply understand customer needs and business problems.
  • Experience with various types of data analysis.
  • Great communication and collaboration skills.
  • Lead function and technical discussions with stakeholders
  • Open to feedback from all parts of the company.
  • 5+ years of product management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or 5 years experience working in Business Applications/ Information Technology
