SUMMARY
The Sr. Producer, Content will be responsible for the development and execution of forward-thinking video, audio and editorial projects for the Nets, Liberty and Brooklyn Basketball. Content will focus upon both basketball & culture and be distributed across an ecosystem including social media, audio, web, email, app, in-venue, and broadcast.
The Sr. Producer will lead a team of content creators and support projects for internal lines of Nets and Liberty business including Marketing, Ticketing, Partnerships, Community, Communications and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. The role will be responsible for the end-to-end production process, inclusive of brainstorming, pitching, scripting, talent booking/management and content delivery. The individual will be encouraged to showcase a portfolio of their prior work
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Lead production for Nets and Liberty that elevates the teams and players through on- and off-court storytelling
- Develop concepts and be responsible for production for Brooklyn Basketball content, inclusive of instructional content, event coverage and basketball storytelling
- Field produce shoots, interviews and team coverage
- Lead a team of Production professionals with a focus on conceiving, coordinating, shooting and editing concepts for the Liberty, Nets and Brooklyn Basketball
- Liaise with the Marketing and Content publishing teams to optimize content distribution across channels
- Manage and mentor content creators to develop skills and assign projects
- Develop new insights for repeatable content franchises and formats
- Steward branded content for Marketing Partners: conception, production & distribution
- Work with department leaders to help roadmap our strategy, identify growth opportunities and ensure consistent, high-level content output
- Closely collaborate with the Creative team on graphic/design integration within content
- Stay at the pulse of industry trends and emerging opportunities, drawing inspiration for the department, and implementing best practices
WHO YOU ARE:
- 7+ years' experience working expertly in content production
- Strong understanding of the basketball, media & entertainment landscape is required
- Advanced storytelling skills with the ability to both conceptualize and implement
- Proven track record of managing content projects, shoots and resources
- Strong leader with the ability to encourage/mentor a team of creative professionals
- Experience producing and editing content is preferred
- Capable of excelling in a fast-paced environment, servicing multiple team members
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, while remaining accountable & delivering projects on deadline and within budget
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including clearly communicating concepts
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Media Encoder)
- Bachelor's Degree
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
May be required to travel on occasions; trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay for one or more nights.
SALARY RANGE:
$115,000-$145,000
