Senior Process Engineer– PCB Electronics Manufacturing – Base Salary to 130k/year - Tallahassee, FL
- Our client, a well-established contract Electronics Manufacturer is currently seeking a Senior Process Engineer for their Tallahassee, FL area location. Our client has been in the electronics industry for 30 years offering customized PCB (printed circuit board) assembly & RF technology supporting medical, Aerospace/ Military, Communications, and Industrial markets.
- The Senior Process Engineer will provide dedicated floor support through analysis of processes, procedures, controls, operational data, and provides leadership over productivity, workflow, control, and system improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, analyze and implement work simplifications & improvements
- Provide dedicated support for all areas in manufacturing
- Work directly with multiple work center and project teams to drive improvements
- Assess areas for design for manufacturability
- Provide training on chemical, thermal and mechanical forces/reactions to be manipulated for process improvement
- Introduce Lean concepts & establish Lean practices for process areas
- Lead Kaizen & Lean events
- Provide training and everyday support in troubleshooting for assigned projects
- Provide support for manufacturing to programming, specifications, purchase, and installation of equipment
- Set productivity standards, provide measurement and feedback
- Develop tools to gather & document operational data
- Support systems requirements definitions, methods, process improvements, layout and workflow design.
- Provide analysis and support for short- and long-term capacity planning, including the use of CAD/CAM
- Provide support for capital planning and administration
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Preferred)
- 5+ years’ experience electronics Contract Manufacturing for Electronics/PCB boards, Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Through Hole Technology (THT) and equipment, programming, temperature profiles, wave solder process and process control
- Team/Staff Leadership; Focus on Quality, People and Engagement
- Project planning, Business process re-engineering, productivity studies and methods/procedures development experience.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Valor and other programming software adaptability; MS Office Pro and CAD/CAM software; oven profiling, solder wave profiling and other electronic manufacturing/testing software desirable (e.g., AOI, Flying Probe, etc.). Ability to generate accurate/appropriate formulas in Excel spreadsheets
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 110k – 130k/year range, dependent on experience
