JOB DESCRIPTION:          Develop serum-free media for use in cell culture applications at lab and pilot scale. Design and validation of process methodology at small scale. Plan, design, and analyze experiments to scale up       operations from lab to pilot plant scale. Specify and lead lab instrument installations, validations for lab/pilot operations and user training for lab protocols. Develop adherent cell culture processes with substrate/ scaffold analysis for use in product development and scale-up efforts for cell-cultured meat production. Develop DOE (Design of Experiments) for media screening studies and perform multivariate data analysis. Develop process simulation to model pilot plant operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:           Master's in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cell Biology, Bioengineering, Biophysics, Biopharmaceutical Processing, Biochemistry or any related field of study (foreign academic equivalent degree accepted) field plus one [1] year of experience. Will accept a Bachelor's or foreign academic equivalent in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cell Biology, Bioengineering, Biophysics, Biopharmaceutical Processing, Biochemistry or any related field of study plus [5] years of progressively responsible experience in lieu of Master's plus 1 year of experience.

One [1] year work experience with Validation Testing and SAP/ERP applications and Three (3) months of work experience with Cell Line Adaptation, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Matlab, JMP, SuperPro bioprocess engineering software, ViCell, Nova Biopharma required

$127,150 - $135,000 a year
