I: Job Summary
Senior Maintenance Planner and Scheduler is responsible for planning and scheduling of calibration and maintenance activities, as well as maintaining an inventory of spare parts. The candidate is a self-starter who is part of an effective and diverse team. Maintains high attention to detail while working in a dynamic environment. Must have thorough knowledge of scheduling and planning calibration and maintenance activities, as well as knowledge of spare parts. Must be self-motivated and able to maintain extensive production schedules within a GxP environment.
II: Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for planning and scheduling internal activities with technicians, internal customers, and management for minimal interruption to operations.
- Duties and responsibilities are carried out independently within the framework of established policies and procedures.
- Adept at utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to assign work and create spare parts records.
- Utilizes CMMS analysis tools to generate reports and metrics to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Able to prepare and maintain a detailed maintenance schedule while adhering to internal production schedules.
- Capable of coordinating with appropriate personnel regarding service agreements and approved vendors.
- Assist with the evaluation of calibration and maintenance vendors for quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate required escorts for vendors with the applicable SME. Ensure vendors execute service to completion and documentation is received after service.
- Collaborates with area management to plan activities and resource allocation associated with scheduled plant outages.
- Responsible for maintaining an inventory of spare parts to prescribed levels within the CMMS.
- Work collaboratively with Engineering, Facilities and Metrology personnel to ensure availability of parts required to support calibration and maintenance activities. Plan resources and maintain material inventory stock.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs with vendors.
- Order spare parts from approved vendors and submit supplier requests for new vendors.
- Interact effectively with peers, technicians, internal customers, and management to achieve optimal outcomes. Communicate technical information to non-technical individuals regarding potential problems and work to resolve conflicts.
- Review trends affecting production schedules and escalate deficiencies to management. Seek to improve the overall function of the department by anticipating problems and initiating appropriate actions to eliminate them.
- Participate in on-the-job training.
- Perform work safely and in compliance with site requirements.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
III: Education, Experience & Skills
- 6+ years of scheduling/planning experience.
- 1+ years of pharmaceutical or GMP industry planning and scheduling.
- Experience within a spare parts program.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical equipment, facilities, calibrations, and maintenance is required.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Products.
- BMRAM experience preferred.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication abilities, as well as good decision-making skills.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to handle several tasks simultaneously.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
