General Description:The Sr. Production Control Planner works with the Production Control Planner -Bulk & Production Control Manager to ensure customer products are scheduled through the production cycle accordingly, to meet all customer requirements. Also works with the Operation Planners, Purchasing, Production, Engineering, QC Bulk Lab, QA Analytical Lab, Micro Lab,Product Structure, Warehouse, & Incoming Components to ensure we have a solid schedule day to day.Specific Responsibilities & Duties:Interfaces with Purchasing, Operation Planners, Production, QC Bulk Lab, QA Analytical Lab, Micro Lab, Product Structure, Warehouse, & Incoming Components to monitor and/or expedite materials to meet planned schedule and customer SO due dates.Creates the Daily Production Floor schedule everyday by interfacing with Production, all the labs above, compounding, engineering, warehouse & incoming Components.Creates firmed filling/bulk work orders in QAD (16.1) on a weekly basis using Planned Order Report, 23.12 or a report given by the Prod Control Manager- for a 4-week period with a rolling week each week.Conducts daily meetings in the morning & afternoon with Production and Engineering to go over the execution of the 1st, 2nd & 3rd shift production schedules.Manages daily expedite (1004), de-expedite (1003) and cancellation (1005) reports using Action Message Report (23.7) or by emails sent by Operation Planners.Enters forecast when given by Operation Planners and provide analysis.Creates Filling rework work orders for production when needed using 96.36.Updates the Production Daily Summary Report for the 9:30 am meeting & various Production Control reports (96.7) and Production Units daily.Updates/adjusts all daily changes to filling work orders/Sale Orders & in Taylor/DS-APS -provided by Operation Planners, Purchasing, Compounding and base on the daily production output.Checks all Filling work orders inventory shortages by using Work Order Shortage Report (.59) and coordinate with Production Control Manager and Production Planner-Bulk to fulfill upcoming orders.
Add comments to Filling and Compounding Schedule Report (96.7) using WO Production Comments (96.42)-once a weekEnters Test/Sample Bulk & Fill work orders and maintain New Product Development Tracking Sheet in Excel located in V-drive. Work with Product Development, Engineering, Production and Operation Planners (when needed) to compile needs and create work orders to fulfill those needs.Sends out a daily email (when needed) to Incoming Components and Receiving on the HOT components that will be coming in and will need to inspect and release right away.Sends out a daily email (when needed) to QC Bulk lab, QA Analytical Lab & Micro Lab for bulks that need release or customer approval. Sends out a daily email (when needed) to Items in D/Product Structure to make sure items in D or C status are switch to A or N.Sends out a daily email (when needed) to compounding on our storage tanks status -what is available & when they will be available.Updates once a week the bulks in MRB Re-test log in Excel that needs micro testing -Raw materials QA and Micro lab.Maintains Item Planning data (1.4.7) on assigned part numbers to ensure correct lead-time and planning information required for accurate MRP.Plans and maintains Planned schedule to support filling schedule toward attaining 99% on time shipments to customers.Performs as the back up to the Production Control Manager & Production Planner-Bulk.Read and reply daily to all emails.Additional duties may be assigned by Production Control Manager.Qualifications:High school education or equivalent.Minimum 2+ years of college education or 5 years equivalent related experience in a planning position preferably in Contract Manufacturing & Beauty Care Manufacturing or an FDA regulated relatable industry.5+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment in a planning or production related capacity.Strong analytical and computer skills including knowledge of an MRP system, Planning Software and Microsoft Office applications such, as Excel, Word, and Outlook.Familiarity with Contract Manufacturing & Cosmetics & Beauty Care manufacturing preferred, but not required.
Thorough understanding and use of QAD System.Excellent English communication skills: speaking, reading, and writing. reading, and writing.Strong math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division Accurate, methodical, and logical thinker.
