Aptia is seeking to hire a Senior People Business Partner in our Boston, MA location. The incumbent will be responsible for partnering with Business Units for Aptia offices within the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Global Lead- Business Partner to implement the Global People strategy in Aptia-US
  • Ensure key stakeholders and internal clients are aware of the Aptia People priorities and how they are aligned with Aptia’s global standards and processes
  • Create and/or maintain all HR/employee manuals and policies ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Provide practical HR support, guidance and training to managers/staff as applicable across Aptia’s offices in USA to include home and other remote workers
  • Build relationships with the management and employees in order to gain the credibility and influence the business, develop a thorough understanding of the business needs and challenges how the business operates
  • Partnering with People Operations Team as well as with Specialist People functions to advise the business on People related processes and risks
  • Manage all Employee Relations issues, educating the business to take accountability, manage and report risk
  • To work in close partnership with People Operations and specialist people functions in order to provide an efficient and quality service to the business and ensure we get the basics right every time
  • Work with the People Analytics team to provide relevant analytics across various people areas to the managers and leaders
  • Facilitate the delivery of performance, rewards and talent management processes for responsible business areas
  • Develop effective manpower and resource planning models for each of the business units supported
  • Work with People L&D as well with the Business Unit leaders to develop long term team development plans as well as the development of effective leadership development learning paths
  • Work with the Talent and Talent Acquisition functions to create effective and sustainable success planning for each role within the BU including but not limited to the BU leader


Skills and Qualifications

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills, ability to engage effectively with various levels of stakeholders
  • High levels of customer orientation
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work with the global Business Partner team to ensure consistent levels of service and performance
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems
  • Exposure in one specialist People area in addition to excellent general Business Partnering skills
  • Sound knowledge of US Federal and applicable State employment law and its application and impact to Aptia and colleagues
  • Well-rounded knowledge, across the full HR spectrum (talent acquisition, development and training, compensation and benefits, performance management, talent management, succession planning)
  • Successful track record of success as an HRBP in an organization during high growth or complex change
