Senior Pastor

Responsibilities:
- Provide spiritual leadership to the congregation
- Conduct religious services and lead congregational prayers
- Offer pastoral care, including hospice care and crisis management, to members of the congregation
- Mentor and guide individuals in their spiritual journey
- Manage conflicts within the congregation and provide counseling when needed
- Educate the congregation on religious teachings and principles
- Write and deliver sermons that inspire and engage the congregation
- Plan and organize events such as weddings, funerals, and community outreach programs
- Communicate effectively with church members, staff, and the community

Skills:
- Proficient in public speaking to deliver sermons and address congregants
- Experienced in event planning for various church activities
- Skilled in conflict management to resolve disputes within the congregation
- Capable of mentoring individuals to support their spiritual growth
- Able to educate the congregation on religious matters effectively
- Strong written communication skills for preparing sermons, articles, and other materials

Senior Pastor

Elk Creek Baptist Church, a Southern Baptist Church, in Taylorsville, Kentucky, (established in 1794), is seeking a Senior Pastor to lead our congregation. The Candidate must meet biblical requirements for a pastor according to 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9. Preference will be given to those with Pastoral experience, the ability to connect with younger generations, as well as a Baptist Seminary degree.
