Senior Network Engineer

TheSenior Network Engineer ensures proper design, implementation, support, and administration of Milk Specialties Global’s (MSG) environment.  Areas of support includes: WAN, LAN, VPN, SD-Wan, Wireless, Manufacturing Networks, and Security Systems. The Senior Network Engineer also provides the vision and strategy necessary to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, availability, and security of MSG’s environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage and perform administration of all networks, security, and associated equipment (SASE, SD-WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, etc.).  This includes ensuring proper backups are complete, making recommendations for upgrades and changes as required to support overall business objectives.
• Leads creation of standards for new technology.
• Serve as subject matter expert for the Milk Specialties Network.
• Guides, directs, or recommends enhancements for system performance, reliability, scalability, and capacity.
• Develop and provides solutions targeted to meet existing, enhanced, and new service network/security platform solutions for business and infrastructure services.
• Provides senior technical leadership, representing network designs and support requirement for MSG.
• Troubleshoots, resolves, and recommends improvement for systems, network, and security problems at an advanced level across MSG's environment.
• Authors and provides input for systems and services, documentation, procedures, and processes.
• Develops and performs capacity and resource planning to optimize and expand existing network systems.
• Expand Network monitoring across MSG entire environment.
• Enhance MSG’ Firewall design and security.
• Work with vendors and support teams on new and existing technologies to develop relationships and expand environment capabilities and services.
• Make plant visits as required to provide on-site support installations as needed.
• Serve as escalation point for service desk requests.
• Qualified and trained individual will provide as a back-up in the event of an absence of another employees.
• Perform special projects and other responsibilities as needed.  
• Mentor and train team members on networking technologies.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of previous Network Engineering experience in a multi-facility organization.
• 3+ years of Network Security Engineering
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skill

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Aruba/HP switching and wireless network infrastructure
• Experience working with Palo Alto firewalls, SD-WAN, and Prisma Access
• Experience working with OT/controls networks
• 3 year implement and or supporting IPS/IDS systems
• CCNP certification or equivalent experience
• CISSP certification or equivalent experience
