Job Description
The Senior Network Engineer plays a pivotal role in the organization's network infrastructure and is responsible for design, configuration, operation, robust security and optimal performance to support organizational growth.
The role requires effective collaboration with IT colleagues, end-users across the organization, and external vendors to deliver scalable network solutions.

· Recommend network configurations that meet user needs and adhere to departmental standards.
· Implement and maintain network infrastructure components including bridges, routers, gateways, remote access servers, domain servers, security firewalls, and internet/intranet connectivity.
· Design and optimize networks for maximum performance and reliability, while also weighing costs and maintenance requirements.
· Conducts preventative maintenance and fault isolation on local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs), ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
· Ensure the security of network communications through the management of local and wide area network security features, Threat Protection service, and user access control.
· Collaborate with telecommunications engineers to support voice, data, and video applications, and basic telephone maintenance as needed.
· Analyzes, recommends, and evaluates new hardware, software, and communications products for network compatibility and applicability.
· Develops, maintains and updates a library of technical documentation.
· Performs advanced diagnostics and maintenance on desktop devices when additional expertise is required.
· Works with cross-functional teams in the design and implementation of information technology and security.
· Keeps current on new developments and techniques in networking and information technology.
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or MIS + 5-7 years of experience as a Network Engineer supporting an Enterprise-level complex networking environment.
Computer Skills:
· CCNP Certification
· 3 or more years of experience with Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls.
· Minimum 1 year of experience with F5 technology or comparable load-balancers.
· Experience with major routing protocols including RIP, IGRP, EIGRP, BGP, RMTP or OSPF
· Voice experience such as H.323/SIP/MGCP/SCCP
