Job Summary:
The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the organization’s technical infrastructure, data backups, disaster recovery, data centers, and interactions with various vendors. Operates as part of the IT Operations team to ensure the infrastructure functions at maximum capacity across all locations. Lead strategic infrastructure projects to expand and improve infrastructure performance and stability and coordinate with additional locations to execute enterprise-wide project objectives.
Essential Functions:
- Analyze and resolve technical problems for new and established environments. Provide remediation solutions for issues related to infrastructure and systems. Serve as technical expert for application and network problems and emergencies. Troubleshoot and resolve production related problems.
- Document network problems and resolutions for future reference. Record and maintain hardware and software inventories, site and/or server licensing and user access and security.
- Install, upgrade, maintain and configure storage, networking, servers, email, network printing, directory structures, user access controls and file services.
- Lead in the technical side of strategic business projects, providing expertise for decision makers. Research, recommend, purchase, test, evaluate, and implement network, server and workstation hardware and software solutions.
- Perform capacity planning for servers and network infrastructure. Identify opportunities for software, hardware, and design upgrades. Design, lead, and execute projects related to infrastructure optimization and other production efficiencies.
- Perform special project related tasks as assigned.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours coverage.
- Takes initiative about new products and services within the RevSpring pipeline and sets up training for team.
- Comply with policies and procedures as required.
Minimum Requirements:
Specific Job Skills:
- Experience with VMWARE, vSphere, SAN Concepts, Microsoft Server Products. Fundamental knowledge of Layer 2/3 as it relates to network devices, routers, firewalls and switches
- Attention to detail

- Ability to organize and multi-task job responsibilities effectively

- Up to 10% travel may be required
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology
Experience: At least five years in an environment with hands-on responsibility for servers, SANs, NAS, MPLS, routers, firewalls, switches, VMWare vSphere, Microsoft server products, and CentOS. Familiarity with FortiNet, Dell, and Cisco equipment a plus.

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from a variety of both internal and external sources.
