The Graff team is looking for a Senior Mechanical/Materials Engineer to develop new and innovative golf technology products. Acting as the mechanical lead for the Graff team, this position will take products from concept, prototyping, test and iteration, all the way through to high volume production. As Graff’s Senior Mechanical/Materials Engineer Engineer, you will combine system level thinking with organizational and design skills to develop highly functional and unique products.
We are looking for someone with a great background in mechanical design with an emphasis in materials science. We are expanding our in-house R&D team to include world class talent in golf ball manufacturing and mechanical design. We especially value individuals that are adept at tinkering, prototyping, and creative problem solving.

Duties and responsibilities include:
- Lead the execution of R&D related to golf ball mechanical design, manufacturing process creation, and test/evaluation.
- Selection and oversight of third party manufacturing partners during the development process.
- Help build out, lead, and mentor a mechanical design team at Graff
- Take products from concept/prototype to customer-ready designs.
- Collaborate with cross functional engineering teams to understand design goals and develop requirements.
Requirements and qualifications include:
- Creative thinker and engineering problem solver capable of prototyping/tinkering to quickly evaluate potential solutions during the R&D process.
- 5+ years of experience as mechanical/materials engineer or similar role.
- 3+ years experience in working with and selecting third party vendors for molding, materials, and manufacturing.
- Proficient in mechanical/material test methods and design thereof.
- Proficient in Solidworks.
- Proficient in GD&T.
- Prior history developing and launching consumer products.
- Desire to work with a fast-moving group of talented individuals.
- Degree not required, if you have the skills that is all that matters!
Nice to have (but not required) qualifications include:
- Home lab/tools for prototyping
