Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer
Company Overview: HRU Tech is partnering with a leading provider of heavy-duty vehicle solutions, committed to designing and delivering innovative products. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview: As a Senior Mechanical Engineer you will play a pivotal role in designing functional, reliable, and cost-effective components for heavy-duty vehicles. You will be involved in engineering analysis, design, and development activities, contributing to both existing and new vehicle projects. Under supervision, you will perform engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks in accordance with industry standards and company processes.
Responsibilities:
Perform engineering analysis and design/re-design of heavy-duty vehicle components.
Provide integration and execution support for vehicle and component design.
Support more senior engineers in preparing plans, designs, and computation methods.
Manage projects of limited complexity and may be responsible for multiple projects.
Collaborate with internal engineering disciplines and external suppliers.
Provide guidance or mentorship to entry-level engineers, designers, or technicians.
Enforce the use of engineering criteria and drawing standards.
Evaluate designs for performance, safety, and reliability.
Direct preparation of layouts, drawings, specifications, and bills of material.
Analyze and resolve engineering issues and provide technical assistance for production support.
Prepare technical proposals, quotations, reports, and presentations.
Maintain project documentation for analysis, research, and historical records.
Utilize analytical and mathematical approaches to optimize designs.
Regularly communicate with suppliers, internal and external customers, and outside resources.
Qualifications:
Accredited Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Three (3) or more years of related engineering experience.
Mechanical knowledge of automotive or heavy-vehicle equipment and related systems.
Experience with a high-level CAD system.

Additional Details:
Hybrid role with flexibility in on-site presence.
Less than 5% travel to US government test sites with GSA per diem during travel.
US citizenship required.
Top Requirements:
Minimum 2-3 years of engineering experience.
Project Management experience.
Strong technical and leadership skills.
