Annexa is currently seek a Senior MDW Quality Assurance Analyst to support a large Medicaid Data Warehousing program. The Senior MDW QA will report to the Medicaid Data Warehouse (MDW) Quality Assurance (QA) project manager and work with MDW business and quality analysts to perform reviews and make recommendations for on-going changes, improvements, and maintenance for the MDW. The MDW was created as a central repository for all New York State Medicaid data and is one of the largest and most technologically advanced healthcare data and intelligence platforms in the United States. It contains more than six billion Medicaid claims and encounters and supports more than 1,500 users. The system allows for self-service ad hoc queries, data extraction and analytics reporting.
Responsibilities include:
Review, identify, and document QA issues and recommendations relative to the implementation and maintenance of the MDW technical architecture
Review MDW contractor project artifacts throughout the system development life cycle for quality, compliance, and completeness, documenting the observations and findings using standard checklists and comment matrices
Artifacts reviewed include, but are not limited to: Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), Project Assessment (hour estimates), Project Design Documents (PDDs), Project Change Requests (PCRs), Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs), Test Packages, and Billing Invoices
QA reviewer for Disaster Recovery Plan and Testing, vendor Technical Design Documents, Transition Plan and Deliverable Expectation Documents (DEDs)
Perform technical reviews for appropriateness of change request assessment hours

- Service level agreement (SLA) compliance reviews
Required:
- Minimum 3 years experience in conducting reviews of various system development life cycle documentation, project documents and technical architecture design artifacts and/or deliverables in an MMIS or Medicaid Data Warehouse environment
- Minimum 3 years experience using Data Warehouse reporting tools and analysis using SQL
- Ability to assess technical proposals against best practices
- Ability to assess level of effort and project estimates against a proposal and recommend acceptance or rejection
- Must be open to being onsite 50% of the time in Albany, NY
Desired:
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Access
- Familiarity with Microsoft applications including Office, SharePoint, and Teams
- Familiarity with SDLC waterfall and project management methodologies
- Experience with writing and/or reviewing requirements, project artifacts and/or deliverables
- Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in written form, to collaborate and engage as a high performing team member with the QA team and client representatives
