Job Summary


This position has the primary responsibility to develop, establish and enforce Quality Assurance standards and measures for the information technology group within the organization. The incumbent works as a liaison between the business and the development teams, and serves to provide guidance to other QA Analysts in the execution of their duties and responsibilities. This includes developing and/or overseeing the development and execution of test plans and test scripts, encompassing but not limited to regression testing, unit testing, functional testing, end-to-end integration testing and usability testing. The Senior Systems Quality Assurance Analyst is also expected to ensure that clear and complete documentation of defects and enhancement requests is provided from the Quality Assurance team as issues are detected.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Work with technical team and other Analysts to implement and verify functionality, confirming design solutions meet business needs
  • Investigate, analyze, report on and potentially resolve problems related to assigned applications and processes working with the technical and business teams to identify defects/enhancements
  • Review and provide feedback on the Technical Design Specifications
  • Create, organize and maintain system documentation
  • Identification of test cases, creation and mapping of test cases to business requirements and functional/build specifications. Organizing test cases to support scenarios, providing valid data sets to support scenarios
  • Define scope of scripting for automated test cases
  • Develop and execute test cases
  • Facilitate Test Case reviews
  • Evaluate test results
  • Execute automated scripts and perform basic triage on any failures to isolate scripting issues
  • Utilize other testing tools as appropriate or necessary, and suggest the adoption of new/different tools whenever relevant
  • Recommend and develop improvements to the current testing process
  • Document and submit defects and confirm resolution in a timely manner
  • Facilitate User Acceptance Testing and provide guidance for the same (where necessary)
  • Collaborate with the appropriate DDNJ associates as necessary in addressing identified testing requirements
  • Follow test preparation and execution activities to ensure principles, standards and guidelines
  • Provide guidance to other members of the department as they perform their Duties and Responsibilities
  • Other duties as asigned

  • Ability to translate between technologists and business users

  • Ability to think “outside the box” with regards to using technology to satisfy usability requirements.

Experience, Education and Certifications Required

Experience Required

  • Knowledge/ 1-3 years of experience with an organization utilizing similar process and procedures, including Quality Assurance practices

Required Educational Level

  • Associate Degree or 4 years of experience with DDNJ
