Responsibilities:
- Work with Engineering teams, MTC, outside suppliers, and the manufacturing plants, during the introduction and support of product.
- Reduce manufacturing costs, apply vertical integration, and achieve 10-year volumes.
- Work in a team environment, engaging employees to develop and expand manufacturing capabilities of internal and external processes.
- Provide manufacturing expertise in the areas of plastic processing.
- Work with the Crown plastics team on the "Crown Plastics Center of Excellence Vision"
- Focused leadership with the "Manufacturing Principles and Commitments" in mind.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment towards our current Manufacturing Break Through Objectives.
- Develop detailed business cases for new manufacturing processes and present them to the leadership team.
- Mentor, coach, teach, and develop Manufacturing Engineers in plastics processing.
- This position will report to an Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Manager in New Bremen, Ohio.
Qualifications:
- 8-15 years of related experience.
- Associate Degree
- Must have extensive background in plastics related technology.
- Must have valid driving privileges.
- Frequent travel (5-15%)
- Frequent overnight stays (5-15%)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, with extensive experience in an injection molding environment.
- Strong background in injection molding process and tooling improvement
- Ability to integrate NX CAD models for mold ability.
- An understanding of Mold Flow Analysis software
