The Senior Manager – QA Logistics Operationswillbe responsible forquality distribution releasesupport for North America Logistics Operations (NALO) and for Export operations to the OUS affiliates. The Senior Manager will maintain the quality distribution release procedures for NALO and will serve as a key resource within the business for quality systems and processes related to distribution release. The Senior Managerwillalso be a point of contact between QA and Operations and expected to make decisions regarding quality within the NALO Quality System. This role also includes some oversight responsibilities related to distribution operations. The Senior Manageris responsible for ensuring compliance with all GMPs, internal standards and systems, procedures, and guidelines for distribution activities.
Specific Responsibilities include:
Coordinate all distribution release activities
Work with distribution release team on career development and job satisfaction
Understand how distribution release impacts NALO QA and other functions/sites to obtain mutual objectives
Collaborate with site Data Leader to ensure Quality System enables DI enhancements
Ensure Quality Docs/GMP library documents are managed
Maintain and enhance SOPs&Qualitymanual, including gap assessment and collaboration with Global Logistics (GLX)
Support the Operations Organizationby:
Timely and accurate disposition of products for release to markets, including metrics and adherence to goals
Collaborate with other functions, including hands-on work experience and shared learning
Benchmarking with other Lilly sites to gain support for solutions
Additional responsibilities include:
Generation of monthly metrics
Evaluation of local deviations and change controls
Leading projects to improve the Quality organization
Maintaining local team budget
Other duties as assigned.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, chemistry or related science degree, or equivalent experience
- Three (3) to five (5) years working in biotech (pharmaceutical/medical device) manufacturing and/or experience working with Affiliate Quality systems and/or Clinical Trials distribution process
Additional Skills/Preferences:
- Proven ability to collaborate with globally diverse groups and to effectively manage relationships
- Demonstrated ability to lead without authority
