Senior Manager or Director Accounting
Real Estate Holdings Company – Los Angeles, CA - $175-180K, 20% bonus, profit-sharing plan
THE SIZZLE:
•Role is fully in the office in Century City, CA – will offer relocation

•Targeting 7-11 years of experience – public accounting and then private experience
•Real estate experience preferred but not required
•No overtime hours, hours are 9-5:30 pm with summer Fridays

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
•Prior audit experience – public accounting and private experience
•Real estate industry experience preferred, or experience with PE funds
•BS/BA in Accounting; master’s degree and professional certification (e.g., CPA, CIA, CFA, CISA) are pluses
•Role will oversee fund accounting and audit functions
•Lots of investor interaction
Core Responsibilities
•Manage liquidity and distribution forecasts for all investment vehicles
•Manage communications with investors on recurring and ad hoc deliverables, often in coordination with FP&A and asset management teams
•Manage the treasury function and commercial banking relationship
•Oversee third-party fund administrators for the existing and future funds
•Oversee the quarterly and annual reporting process to investors and lenders
•Oversee the annual audit process (KPMG external auditor)
•Oversee lender compliance and reporting functions, including hedging products
Other Sample Projects
•Coordinate with legal and acquisition teams in the underwriting of new investments for key venture and debt matters, ensuring consistency with business plan and feasibility
•In coordination with FP&A, maintain and update the key performance indicators reporting package for venture and investment returns
•Onboarding of new investors including financial reporting requirements and investor portal administration
Core Competencies
•Minimum of seven years of relevant and progressive accounting, financial reporting, or finance experience
•Ability to coordinate with and support all departments of the firm with clear and concise communication
•Ability and desire to understand fund documents, operating agreements, loan agreements, side letters, etc. and translate the primary inputs and outputs into dynamic analysis or models, experience with Yardi a plus (not required)
