The Senior Manager of Materials Planning will be responsible for purchasing, material receiving, inventory analytics, and buyer/planner operations for Otis Florence. The ideal candidate will collaborate with engineers and designers to determine the materials needed to complete manufacturing according to specifications, Our SMMP is also responsible for maintaining the inventory of those materials once they arrive. Additionally, you will oversee the receiving procedures for the company's warehouse. The SMMP will also audit material transactions, investigate variances, and lead our facility in our Annual Physical Inventory.
Your duties include training materials staff, signing purchase orders and tracking the flow of inventory from the company's supply chain. Several other responsibilities will include:

• Collaborate with other managers to determine supply needs
• Purchase supplies and materials according to specifications
• Coordinate and supervise receiving and warehousing procedures
• Oversee distribution of supplies in the organization
• Control inventory levels and ensure availability of material during emergencies
• Supervise, evaluate and coach subordinates
• Maintain relationships with our internal supply chain staff
• Keep detailed records on procurement activity, materials quantity, specifications etc.
• Assist in forecasting to plan future orders
• Support production control functions for seamless scheduling and production planning
• Evaluate & amend purchasing strategy in collaboration with Director of Operation and new/current trends
• Constant Review of processes and purchase orders
• Supervision of records maintenance
• Supervision of scheduled deliveries and timely fulfillment of orders
• Develop and maintain strong relationship with Supplier Quality

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Proven experience as materials manager
• Experience in shipping and receiving
• Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management systems
• Understanding of forecasting and budgeting
• Proficient computer skills, & willing to stay up to date on new technological tends, advancements, & software
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Proven problem-solver, collaborator, mentor & trainer
• BSc/BA in logistics or relevant field; or 5+ years of leadership experience
