Senior Manager, It Software And Interface Development

Job Summary
RAYUS Radiology, formerly Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is looking for a Senior Manager, IT Software and Interface Developmentto join our team.
Plans and directs the development, installation, and maintenance of business computer applications systems. Assigns, directs, and coordinates the work of systems analysis and programming staff. Provides technical direction and assistance as required. Manages resources to produce high quality and effective technology solutions for RAYUS Radiology. This position is full-time,Monday - Friday, with some weekend coverage for release cycles and on call support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Champions the values and builds the culture to support the goals of RAYUS while fostering an environment where customer service is a priority

(60%) Systems Development Maintenance

• Develops and implements strategies and solutions to business problems by partnering with business users and customers to assess needs and identify projects which will improve efficiencies, productivity, quality and profitability as well as improving the patient experience
• Develops and implements process, controls, and governance with best practices of development cycles
• Prepares feasibility studies and time and cost estimates for new or revised application systems programs and systems projects from the very large, enterprise-level projects, involving multiple departments/locations to single departmental solutions and presents these solutions to stakeholders, and IT leadership for approval and prioritization
• Works with business partners to establish detailed plans and project completion targets
• Monitors project timelines on internal development with RAYUS associates or contracted resources
• Assesses and recommends the best technical approach (language and software tools) to be used for projects
• Interfaces with other IT and business functions in the organization to coordinate activities and report progress towards goals and objectives
• Obtains appropriate approvals to move projects forward within specified time frames
• Ensures staff is regularly and accurately reporting project progress and time expended
• Monitors project cost and effort against plan and takes corrective action as may be necessary
• Manages source control solutions
• Troubleshoots or delegates troubleshooting duties to appropriate staff
• Manages the implementation of remedial repairs, corrections and extensions to systems developed internally

(20%) Staff Management

• Assigns, directs and coordinates the work of development staff
• Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results and developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards
• Participates in staff planning and hiring process
• Initiates and participates in staff development, including coaching, performance evaluations, career path, and compensation recommendations
• Leads regular staff meetings and associate one-on-ones

(15%) Financial and Administrative

• Develops annual department operating plan and budget with Senior Director, IT Strategy and Transformation

• Monitors performance against budget, proactively communicating variances to plan and forecasting anticipated adjustments

(5%) Completes other tasks and projects as requested
Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:

• BS degree in IT or related field with a minimum of ten years of experience in development environments
• 5 years of previousmanagement experience of developers
• Strong experience with SQL, C+ and other programming languages
• Experience with SAAS applications and delivery models
• Broad experience with a variety of database and development applications
• Experience in all phases of the system development life cycle and multiple development methodologies

Preferred:

• Experience with Web and Application development in the Microsoft stack
• Experience with HL7 Interface Development
• Prior experience with healthcare systems, specifically registration, imaging and billing systems
