About the Role & Team
We are seeking a proven manager with the skills and strategic vision to lead a high-paced, highly supervised, and dynamic self-administered claims organization. This is a highly collaborative role that requires outstanding customer service with an understanding of the importance of brand management. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader who excels in encouraging and developing a team, cultivate partnerships, role models outstanding business savvy, and provides business expertise and support.
What You Will Do
- Build and facilitate a culture where cast members can bring their best to work every day and where business challenges are met with a spirit of collaboration and willingness to question the status quo
- Demonstrate transformative leadership by developing and implementing sound business strategies for optimizing people, processes, systems, and culture to accelerate business performance and drive engagement
- Provide strategic and tactical leadership skills, taking a concept and working towards implementation
- Adapt quickly to change and display flexibility and agility when faced with challenges or ambiguity
- Champion and maintain positive relationships with key collaborators – executive and operational partners, vendors, excess carriers, and regulatory agencies
- Get results through strategic business planning and implementation
- Find opportunities for cost control and optimization
- Observe industry trends and business needs and consistently evaluate operational processes
- Interpret and apply performance metrics and operational indicators to empower and improve overall team performance
- Maintain compliance with state, federal, and industry guidelines
- Recognize and respond to incidents that have significant exposure
- Manage claim-level financials and oversee department budget
- Coordinate adherence to excess policies and reporting requirements
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 10 years or more of dynamic leadership experience in insurance, risk management, safety, or related businesses
- Florida 620 adjuster license in good standing
- Proactive communicator with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills who can interface effectively at all levels of the Company and can appropriately influence business results through negotiation, persuasion, and personal presence
- Ability to demonstrate and exercise excellent judgment where safety is the first priority
- Consistent record to deliver concise but informational written summaries in memo and presentation format, with appropriate usage of professional grammar
- Display and role model inclusive behaviors, showing respect for the value of diverse viewpoints, culture, styles, and experience of people
- Demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential information
- Ability to lead and effectively prioritize multiple diverse objectives with a keen attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or equivalent experience
- Associate in Risk Management (ARM) Designation
- Confirmed Third Party Administrator or Employer Self-Administered auto and general liability claims handling
Education
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Risk Management
