Specific Responsibilities Would Include

The Supply Chain Distribution Finance Lead is the financial business partner to the Supply Chain organization. This role provides financial support by bringing visibility to operating performance through cost per unit analysis and identifying key cost drivers and recommending and implementing solutions that will introduce efficiencies and increase profitability. 

In this role, you will oversee the financial reporting, analytics, and analysis support for our Supply Chain, Logistics, & Operations. You will participate in the operations aspects and overall strategy for our global Supply Chain. You will also collaborate with Corporate Accounting and Finance teams.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving business results, a demonstrated financial capability in a Supply Chain environment, must be hands-on and possess a process improvement mindset.

Responsibilities: 

  • Participate in the development and implementation of transportation & Operations related business strategy including Inbound & Outbound freight, regionalized delivery initiatives, fulfillment, and other aspects of Supply Chain. Become the Finance lead for all aspects of company’s Supply Chain, logistics, and operations initiatives.
  • Partner with all levels of Supply Chain, warehousing distribution, and logistics to gather, analyze and / or oversee operational spending, CPU, and identifying key drivers of performance.
  • Take ownership of detailed operational metrics for various business profiles and customer level data.
  • Responsible for working with divisions to identify areas of operational improvement to drive efficiencies and cost optimization opportunities.
  • Work with 3rd party providers on network analysis to determine future warehousing distribution strategies.
  • Close alignment with finance business leaders to ensure operations is supported in a consistent and aligned manner with corporate finance.
  • Responsible for monitoring of Operational budgets in partnership with Corporate Finance.
  • Develop annual budgeting, monthly forecasting & actual cost reconciliations for all modes of transportation within the business. Provide communications to Brand Finance Leaders.
  • Develop forecasting tools to predict cost and volume results in a continually changing Supply Chain network.
  • Provide operational analysis to identify variances. Provide root cause determinations for those variances and identify opportunities to improve forecasting accuracy.
  • Support the development of CAPEX investments including business justification & financial impact.
  • Champion efforts to eliminate manual work, streamline and standardize processes, automate key activities, and create standard templates (ie: flow cadence TY vs. LY) and ensure adherence to all financial and key business process controls and procedures.
  • Conduct a thorough analysis of operational and financial KPI’s to include process improvement, cost management and productivity (ie: distribution costs, drayage costs, order profile, cost per unit, what drives higher cost per transaction) and lead projects to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and increase profitability.
  • Thoroughly understand and support complex transportation & distribution network initiatives. Determine cost/benefit impacts by performing ROI analysis, Supply Chain price modeling, carrier optimization, and other related ad hoc analysis as determined by the business.
  • Develop a strategy to reduce costs. Communicate the results of analysis and strategy to the Finance and Operations teams as well as various members of the business and work closely with business partners to ensure alignment. Deliver frequent updates and results of analysis to COO.
  • Design, train, implement and support warehouse management system changes that affected several areas or departments within the distribution process both domestically and internationally. 
  • Build solid cross functional relationships with Finance, Planning, Warehousing, Divisional Operations Leads, Production/Sourcing and Engineers.
  • Gather data from cross functional partners in order to link operational metrics to financial performance.
  • Support the operations team in other Supply Chain, logistics, fulfillment, and other related areas involving budgeting and other ad hoc requests.
Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field.
  • 5-7 years of financial experience (including budgeting and financial planning) with a minimum of 3 years in distribution / manufacturing, fulfillment and/or logistics industry
  • Advanced MS Office and Excel skills. Knowledge of SAP and other business intelligence / reporting tools is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of operational financial planning & analysis, cost accounting and inventory control.
  • Ability to analyze CPU and the impact of order profile on CPU.
  • A dynamic self-starter who is an innovative problem-solver with strong decision-making capabilities.
  • A true business partner, who uses effective verbal and written communication skills to understand/ analyze the business.
  • Proven track record of effectively managing large volumes of data to derive meaningful business insights.
  • A high performer who can independently balance multiple competing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • An agile learner, focused on continuous process improvement and opportunities to simplify, standardize, and streamline.
  • Ability to drive established project objectives, checkpoints and timelines and manage team to meet project tasks and expectations.
  • Experience working with technology solutions, such as warehouse management systems, inventory management systems, and transportation management systems.
  • Proven track record of implementing process improvements and achieving cost savings.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to identify and solve complex problems.
  • Proven track record of effectively leading a team as well as collaborating and aligning with cross functional partners and Senior Leadership.

Salary Range:  $115,000 - $135,000

At Centric Brands, we believe our people are our greatest asset, and we seek to structure competitive compensation offers to ensure that we are able to attract and retain the best talent.  Our job postings include an annual base salary range at the time of employment.  The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process.  Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other Centric Brands sponsored benefit programs.
