The Data Science and Machine Learning Manager will lead our Data Science and machine learning team in developing innovative solutions that transform the healthcare navigation industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Data Science and healthcare domain knowledge to drive the development of predictive models, algorithms, and data-driven applications.

 

What you’ll do

·         Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for data-driven solutions to address healthcare navigation challenges.

·         Develop and drive the Data Science and machine learning strategy to achieve business objectives.

·         Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the team.

·         Lead the development of predictive models, algorithms, and data-driven applications to improve healthcare navigation processes.

·         Oversee the end-to-end model development lifecycle, from data collection and preprocessing to model training and deployment.

·         Ensure models are scalable, robust, and interpretable and meet regulatory and ethical standards.

·         Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure data availability, quality, and reliability.

·         Establish data governance processes to maintain data integrity and security.

·         Implement best practices for data storage, retrieval, and transformation.

·         Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the impact of Data Science and machine learning solutions.

·         Continuously monitor and evaluate model performance and implement optimizations as needed.

·         Conduct A/B testing and experimentation to improve model outcomes.

·         Communication and Collaboration:

·         Effectively communicate complex technical concepts and insights to non-technical stakeholders.

·         Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and healthcare experts to integrate data-driven solutions into our healthcare navigation platform.

·         Work closely with regulatory and compliance teams to ensure data privacy and security compliance.

·         All other duties as assigned.

 

What you’ll bring

·         Advanced degree in quantitative, healthcare, analytics, statistics, finance or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience

·         10+ years of advanced health care data analytics & statistical modeling experience preferred

·         5+ years experience developing and deploying models in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)

·         Ability to understand and manipulate data into usable, actionable information with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

·         Expertise in data management

·         Experience with business intelligence exploratory or visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik, Power BI) is preferred

·         Expertise with advanced analytics tools, (Python or R)

·         Strong written and oral communication skills

·         Protect and take care of our company and member’s data every day by committing to work within our company ethics and policies

·         skills; Comfort working on a PC using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), IM/video conferencing (Teams & Zoom), and telephones efficiently.
